Shawn Porter ALREADY making quacking noises to avoid The Special One.

No one knew porter before he fought Alexander either, and that was an undeserved title shot. He'd only beat 2 fringe level contenders (Alfonso Gomez and Diaz) before he got he got his shot, he took it so he deserves credit for that but he's not a proven top level boxer. Porter is still a step up for brook but not a big one. Porter stepping up to fight Alexander after the weak opposition he'd beat before was a bigger step up than what Brook is taking.

The fight has to happen, unless Porter wants to lose his title or Brook wants to lose his mandatory position, so talk of either Porter or Brook pulling out is stupid. I expect a close fight but I think Brook will win on points.

Haha I wouldnt wanna take any of those punches either, but if you compare those guys to others in the division then i'd take those guys all day long.

You're right Porter does have power but Brook has a better all round game, he has shown more in the ring against Jones in one night than Porter has in his whole career! Brook vs Porter would look like Garcia vs Matthysse. Matthysse was a clear favourite because people were blinded by his power and his latest win, but when he gets in the ring with a guy who can adjust and take his punches then its a different story!

 

Its true, Porter has fought better competition. But Brook cant be to blame if everyone is avoiding him :stir

 

Porter does have some power and he showed it against Paulie but that's his only KO in his last 6 fights. I don't think he's got anything that Brook can't handle.

He also said that he was excited to be back in the ring in July against Brook. You must read over that part. It was right before he said that he don't think Brook deserved the shot.
