Actually, I very well know who he is. He was a light heavyweight who fought during the 20's and 30's. I was actually watching footage of his match against Primo Carnera recently. I put Hopkins in the top 40 ATG, Loughran between 50 and 60. Oh and sorry I point out factual points about Pacquiao you don't like, that's the reason you hate me Unlike you, I can accept the criticisms of both Mayweather and Pacquiao, and don't get wrapped up in obsession of one of them like you do :hi: Welcome to my ignore list, not going to argue with a ******* such as yourself.
I acknowledged that in the very first sentence of my previous post . Hopkins is the face of Philadelphia now, but not the original. He is the greatest fighter to ever come out of Philly, and isn't done yet. Another great win or two, he could find himself in the top 25 ATG list.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl You can say whatever you want about Pacquiao you ****** that doesnt bother me at all i just point out at your obvious double standards and lack of facts, when it comes to anything Floyd related you act like a 15 year old girl(and dont even try to deny it cause its in your posting history anyone can see it). I am glad to be on your ignore list asswipe you dont bring anything to the table and theres nothing i can learn from an ignorant male groupie who only follows one boxer like you do.:smoke
The fighter that put Philly on the BOXING map was none other than world renowned "Smokin" Joe Frazier. I mean, Philly was already well known well before Frazier, but Joe Frazier is probably the best known boxer coming out of the city. Frazaier's history will always be coupled with that of Ali. Bernard Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya received awards and thank you's from the Frazier family for stepping up and providing the funding to complete the city's first Joe Frazier statue. Hopkins says that Joe Frazier was his inspiration and boxing hero.
jeers tothe city of philly for erecting a statue to a B movie actor (stallone) while ignoring smokin joe frazier kudo's to bernard etc for the funding to ecect a statue of the great smokin joe
Its not even that. I'm not sure anyone really even knows the truth. But he made himself a better person while in prison. To go and slam him now that he's dead, only a real piece of **** would do that.
Over here in the states you degenerate, Carter was freed for the crimes that he did NOT commit. But your pain is so deep that you'll say anything to gain attention. You're probably top 5 the least respected poster here but #1 in effort-to gain attention.
There's an incredible statue of JOEY GIARDELLO in South Philly, really something special. But yeah people on this forum don't look too far back in history. Anyone hear of PHILADELPHIA JACK O'BRIEN, BOB MONTGOMERY, TOMMY LOUGHRAN, etc.
