Leonard was washed up at 35. Norris was washed up before he was 30. Difference being Leonard has signature great wins over 4 great fighters.

I didn't think he was gonna win. I thought it was a bad fight for him at that weight and at that time in his career. I'd pick Leonard of the 1st Hearns fight to beat that version or any version of Norris though.

Good old Terry, dsq'd for hitting after the bell, dsq'd for rabbit punching and hit Leonard when he was on the floor.

Norris was the 23 years old reiging champion and Leonard was the nearly 35 years old, out of the ring for 14months , three times retired ,past it ex champ. Great win! Norris lost his title to ATG Keith Mullings who had won just one of his last six fights!

After stopping Norris , Mullings would win just one of his next five fights then sensibly retire.

I reckon this is pretty straightforward...a great big man beats a great little man. Just like it overwhelmingly was, when fighters tended to stay in their weight classes

Because he didn't have any Fully Obel's, any Scypions, any Tony Sibsons to feast on anymore, Elton.

Hagler had his time and his place - it just so happened to coincide with a **** poor era of middleweights. If he's not beating an inactive, one eyed, washed up coke fiend, he's not beating younger, fresher contenders/titlists that aren't stupid or limited enough to fight down to Hagler's level.

I don't consider Norris a great fighter ,and his record tends to support my view.
He was in the right place at the right time ,which was great for him, that's about the size of it.

Leonard against Norris was a joke. Leonard should have been well retired by then. And yep, Norris isn't a great

He was very good but there are a few names conspicuously missing from his record . And the names that are there were ringworn fighters who in general had seen their best days, imo. Or undeserving challengers, that had no business near a title shot.

And this coming from someone who if they were half as clever as they think they are would be twice as clever as they actually are.

You are a moron plain and simple. You use pathetic examples of what you believe to be Leonards greatness. Hagler: Hotly disputed decision even today. Hearns: Hotly disputed draw. Duran: Lost in his prime to a career Lightweight.

It doesn't get much more stupid than that.

Leonard stopped Hearns, stopped Benitez, and Duran quit.
    Duran a career light weight?
He had 119 fights. 64 at Lightweight and 55 at weights ranging from Welter to Super Middle.
    He won versions of titles that include}
    WBC Welterweight
    WBA Light Middleweight
    WBC Middleweight
Almost half of his career was spent in divisions above lightweight.
He was a Lightweight for 10 years
For a further 23 years he fought at weights above that.
If you had twice the brain you have now you would be a half wit.

It's educational watching a man publicly make a complete cretin of himself. See you soon Poxy:good
