Russell wont get any credit for beating a guy with a record of 1-1

Odd how these threads often turn into flash mobs. Just like real life...

No. That guy is 1-1 with no experience whatsoever, and according to the general opinion of this forum, he is nothing. So, a win over him means little. A loss over him, on the other hand....

According to the majority here, Russell is a lil T-Rex arm can crusher with a glass chin.

Yet, the same people will hail Loma as a superstar if he beats him

    1. He is a lil T-rex because of his 61 inch arms and his 5'4 height. Tell me HOW he is NOT lil T-rex?

    2. Can Crusher he certainly is - look at his resume, not one of them are anyway near as ranked as Vasyl's debut opponent was.

    3. Glass chin - I'm not sure, I haven't seen any evidence of this whatsoever.

-- Gary is definitely a good fighter IMO, it remains to be seen how good he is. People will either underestimate him or overestimate him, either are understandable.

Vasyl vs Gary in the amateurs would have resulted in Gary losing something like a 12-3 decision, however, Gary is more adjusted to the pros in general now whereas we don't know how many lessons Vasyl has seen from his loss against Salido, and we don't know if he's going to implement them well. He didn't implement the right pacing strategy after the first fight which was a huge flaw in his first fight yet the team failed to see it, so it's not as clear cut.

Vasyl is proven in ways that Gary isn't, and Gary is proven in ways that Vasyl isn't. So it's an intriguing fight.

If Vasyl doesn't implement the plan I have for him, I'm going to lose a LOT of interest in Vasyl and he'd have to win me back...even if he's victorious against Gary..in fact, even if he KO's Gary, I may still be unimpressed, just like I was in his debut.

Lomachenko is a superstar, the same way Rigo was a superstar already when he turned pro. GRJ is a tune up sort of fight that just so happens to be for a vacant title, if GRJ doesn't get destroyed then Loma is failing to live up to the hype.

Yes, hype. Hes not a superstar yet, no more than they who wins the junior tennis grandslam is a superstar.

Or the best player at the u.20 soccer world cup is a superstar.

As of right now, hes a guy with a tonne of potential.

Not very disimiliar to Russell actually

Lomacenko will school him, only pure boxer that i would put my money on to beat Loma is Rigo, but Loma will have problems with any decent rough and tough fighter like Salido.

The Olympics is a far greater achievement than beating GRJ. Many of the best Olympians stay in that style of boxing, calling it the juniors just demonstrates your ignorance. The number of Cubans and Eastern Europeans that would've dominated pro boxing if they chose to is endless.
Rigondeaux was legendary before he had a pro fight, same with Lomachenko. If your mind is too small to understand that viewpoint held by the majority of the rest of the world then your bad. The pros are just some money after they've already been at the top of the sport.

You dont think De La Hoya, Ward, and all the oter America/British Olympic champs couldnt have won 2 gold medals?

Of course they could, but they didnt waste 4 years of their career to win another shiny medal.

They went pro when they were in their teens/early 20s. Loma stayed amateur into his mid 20s.

Winning 2 gold medals isnt as impressive when you mention that most Latin Americans dont even bother with an amateur career and Americans and Brits go pro at the 1st possible opportunity.

How many Americans and Brits stay pro into their mid 20s?

Even Cubans these days are jumping on the boat as early as possible.

    Great news.

ESB's majority's agenda is not very difficult to comprehend. Fan activism enhanced with severe emotional trauma. :yep
