Corrales was 33-0, the consensus #1 of the division, and ranked PFP. Mayweather was the underdog in this fight, Corrales was also much larger than him.

    Try again?

I only said that Corrales was rated higher pfp at the time of the fight not who was the betting favorite. Sorry about calling you "dumb" but I didn't like the way you came at me.

Oh Really? I so happen to have the odds right here:

So what was that about Corrales being the underdog again? I'm on a role here, any more bull****?

Want me to post up what the writers and experts said too? Your assertion that nobody thought Chico would win is absolutely erroneous, you have nothing to back up your claims, and the evidence contradicts you. You've now changed your strategy to attack the credibility of the source, a clear desperation move. I'm willing to bet if the source confirmed your point, you'd consider it absolutely valid, wouldn't you? SMFH. I've got something better than all of that though pal, I watched boxing back then, I KNOW what was going on. Warranted or not, Corrales was very feared, he was a giant for the division, with serious power, who was undefeated. This was seen as an incredibly risky fight for Mayweather, MANY people felt Chico was too big, and would knock him out. I won money on Mayweather that day, so I'm pretty sure I know what the odds were, feel free to ask anyone who knows their **** and watched boxing then, they will corroborate what I've said.

Because Corrales was a hype job who in his whole career never beat one elite A-level boxer. At one point this bum was in the top 10 p4p ahead of guys like Hopkins and Lennox Lewis. Complete joke and hype

Floyd knew that people would act like Corrales was some monumental win when he's an ordinary average fighter.

and to this day you can see delusional Floyd fans act like he was some Roberto Duran-like figure

People did the same thing with Canelo. No one can name an elite A-level boxer he beat either

Even Adrien Broner was ranked in some top 10 lists. It's not hard to spot hype jobs if you pay attention

You must not have been following boxing when Corrales fought Mayweather. Corralles was viewed as a monster and most people were giving him a good chance of stopping Mayweather. Corralles was never a "hype job". The fact that he lost to Mayweather and some other boxers down the line don't take away from the fact that he was a damn good fighter.

He was VIEWED as a monster. Which was furthest from the truth. If he was such a damn good fighter, he wouldn't have gone life and death with B level Castillo/Casamayor and get easily beaten by tomato can Clottey.

Adrien Broner was also at one point viewed as number 6 p4p by Ring Magazine. That is the definition of hype, just like Lacy, just like Canelo, just like Corrales

Corrales had victories over Manfreddy, Freitas and Casamayor, who were very good boxers. I'm not here to defend Mayweather but your discrediting of Corrales kind of irks me. Obviously you weren't following boxing at that time and I must admit that you are an equal opportunity troll so I guess I will just take your comments in stride.

Exactly. Corrales was the consensus #1 of the division, he had earned his way there. He WAS the man to beat, by far the most dangerous challenge Mayweather could have taken. The guy was a 6 foot featherweight with one punch knockout power, he was absolutely feared at the time. 33-0, #1 in the division, PFP ranked, most dangerous challenge available for Floyd. All of that, and desperate haters still call it a cherry pick.

All of that is a hype job that Floyd fans use to try and build up Floyd

Just like Lacy with Calzaghe. So what if Corrales was p4p ranked? Broner was also number 6 at one point. just shows how quick sheep are to follow the herd. It's not a cherry pick, but it's not a win that makes anyone special
