Will they be showing Jennings vs Perez after it or cutting the telecast after the Geale fight? Heading away that weekend so won't be able to stream it.

You need to remember, World title boxing is a business. If all parties involved in training/management/promotion/tv/etc etc etc do not benefit as they should, remembering it took $$$ to get him to this level, then it doesn't happen.

You don't win titles without a backer. You don't get maximum exposure without TV channels.. if it doesn't work for these guys, no fight.

Everyone can say its an excuse, but would you fight/promote/manage at world title level without receiving maximum benefit?

    I think not

I would like to see the Golovkin fight, but Macklin is a his fourth top 10 opponent that he is fighting outside Australia, which has got to be lauded.

But and Im a big Daniel Geale fan he was livid at being stripped of his WBA belt before he even got it.

"What Felix Sturm did by not defending against the mandatory had nothing to do with me,'' Geale said. "But they gave me half the time frame they usually give for a mandatory defence. I have no problem fighting Golovkin, but if I did it would mean going to the US and fighting on a small card with crap money for a title fight.
"The Mundine fight is much more viable, it helps my profile massively and is a better money fight, and opens doors in the US. If I had taken the mandatory with the WBA, then I'm quite sure the IBF would have stripped me so I was in a no-win situation."
He has no belt now Golovkin is a far bigger name now than when he got a mere $350,000 for the Macklin fight. Golovkin's going to 168 to fight JCCjr
I don't think Geale(or Quillin,Sturm any MW for that matter that isn't broke)wants anything to do with Golovkin. I hate too say that but the Adama's,Ishida's,Rosada's,Stevens',Macklin's losses to Golovkin have scared a lot of MW's off. Even though they are far from elite but the manner in which he beat them was impressive. I hope Im wrong and you're right and they eventually fight but it seems all the top ranked MW's are avoiding Golovkin like the plague.

No problem with him fighting Macklin mate he's a good fighter would rather he fight the world champion for a belt though. Especially after he was so angry that they stripped him of the title before he even got it.
