    Who forgets? its constantly brought up, fighters can improve from their early twenties you know, I suppose if Kiko went and beat LSC and Rigondeaux we could still say "but Monroe beat him TWICE!"

    Matt Macklin lost to Andrew Facey, how the hell could he ever hang at world level?

    and if Kiko is roiding, it makes Framptons win even better doesn't it? :lol: :bbb

    Also, might it be just a bit easier to fathom, simplest explanation, Munroe during his short prime was actually pretty good? That he failed in stepping up to Nishioka - as of then among the most dominant champs in the sport - is no great blight.

    Monroe was a world class boxer in his prime he was never the same after the fight in Japan

    Yes, as if it should need to be said, losing to Monroe and Nishioka was hardly a disgrace and not a good yardstick to say he isn't world class. Especially considering he has only just entered his prime and only turned 28 last month. Yet on the other hand people say Salinas is a true world class fighter while Kiko is unproven above Euro level..wtf has Yoandris ever done in the pros to deserve that kind of praise?

    Whoever thinks munroe was ever a world class boxer is mad. He used his strength at the weight and other attributes combined with a good chin to his advantage but his boxing has never been world class. Martinez is a massive danger to anyone at this weight. When frampton fought him his dad had been ill and lost a leg but since that defeat he has come on massively and his confidence must be sky high he is on a roll. However I think quigg out boxes him and stops him mid to late. If I were quigg or frampton I'd rather fight Santa Cruz than kiko right now

    He was flirting with being world class, 2007 into 2010.

    He came up shy and showed the limitations of his level, but did not seem like he didn't belong in the ring with Nishioka.
