It is clearly about how loud you yell when you land the punch. the louder you shout the harder the shot will be.

Punching power is generated from the testicles. That is why Floyd is so featherfisted.

Punching is taught , everybody says it just natural , that isnt true.

Its foot position , hip speed and arm angle.

If you notice all of the big punches all first and foremost punch correctly.

This, it's mainly all technique, but you need to be strong and explosive and reasonably athletic

Absolute BOLLOCKS :lol: BAN THIS TROLL PLEASE, ONLY SOMEONE WHO'S NEVER BOXED SAYS THIS

Its technique, using your shoulders, and bodyweight, trying not to use ur arm, and making sure you hit 90 degree angle with your arm and shoulder! you can turn a guy with no power into a guy who's a huge puncher by great technique,

Gamboa is a great example, exceptional techniqe, and in good condition strong forearms, shoulders and core

The biggest problem with the debate, is it seems like many people are caught up in a false dichotomy - that it is either/or natural/learned.

Just like there are many avenues to a KO, there are many different body types and techniques that have an impact. Also, do not neglect mental talent to go with physical talent.

PAC is not a big puncher. Alot of quick arm punches. Not impressed.

Then how do you explain all the guys who have great technique but aren't bangers, and all the bangers who have poor technique?

Bottom line the body you are born with is going to be what sets the ceiling on your power.

Every Olympic sprinter, every Olympic weight lifter, they all have one of the two fast twitch mutations, you will not find a single one with the slow twitch mutation. There is a reason for that. If you have few fast twitch fiber you will not be able to generate significant power period. You can generate force but not power. The body sets the ceiling not the technique.

You are an idiot and a Knob...:rofl:rofl:rofl
Genetics is a huge huge factor and the ultimate determinant of potential punching power. We are not all made the same. Punching power and natural speed are talents that are born in ,you can improve to a degree but your potential is dictated by your genetics. You could train thousands of athletes in Usain Bolt's training regime but they won't get his results unless they have his kind of genetics.

Take this as a positive as the above are great great defensive fighters but can you honestly say the three have really good punching technique??

I dont think so. All move great but when actually punching they dont plant their feet and punch through the target.

But being a great fighter isnt always about offensive.
