Even without the legal issues, he is pretty much stuck. He has nobody to fight with, period. The Brits (Froch, Groves, DeGale) will fight among themselves for now and will make enough money doing that.

GGG/Chavez, if a good fight will have a rematch, if not then whoever the winner is will most likely demand a bunch of money Ward won't want to give up. So that's about it for SMW. Oh yeah, and even if he gets one of these fights, he will have to wait till the end of the year at least.

LHW, the only guy is Kovalev, which would be great, but then that's it. Hopkins is beating everyone else and won't fight Ward. Plus you have the HBO/Showtime war too.

    Might as well retire...

Ward is the most versatile boxer out there.
There are many fight opportunities for him.
Much to the dismay of Kovalev and other LHWs, He will move up to LHW and rule it by 2015.

Ward has plenty of fights if he gets his promotional issues worked out, and gets some flexibility in making fights.

168 is great for Ward if he can get some freedom and doesnt insist on being the A-side. GGG, GG, Jr, Froch II are all good fights. Winner of Froch/Groves will be able to fill tens of thousands of seats for lineal champion bout if fight was in UK. Winner of GGG/Jr should be a domestic PPV fight in Vegas.

Ward has like 10mil in purses at 168 waiting for him across 3 fights.

Take it to the high court. Hasim Rahman did the same with Don King and the contract was legally broken.

He will not leave Oakland. He is extremely poor at selling hisself. He needs to go over seas and rematch Kessler. Needs to try and broaden his appeal, which is nearly non-existent with the causal fan.

Ward can do anything in boxing he likes and will succeed. If he moved up to LHW he would make Kovalev look clumsy and maybe stop him. Whats a blessing in disguise is that wards shoulder rejuvenating for the better. Ward just that talented he can come back after a long time off and still dominate in devasting fashion.

Hopefully, he doesn't let too many of his prime years slip away.

Ward declined a rematch with Froch in England, he has himself to blame for that

if he somehow sorts out his contract issue, then I wouldn't mind seeing Ward vs Groves, GG/Chavez Jr winner or even Kovalev/Stevenson, should he move up to 175

of course, that's provided he leaves Oakland, otherwise I don't care about his fights

One of the best p4p but the TS is right. He isn't a big name and other guys are just going to avoid him when they can make just as much, if not more money else where.

How many American boxers went overseas to broaden their appeal. America is the Mecca of boxing not Europe. No one goes to Europe to broaden there appeal, rather the go to U.S.A. Why is it that you Euros want to see Ward fight overseas so much? Floyd is did not go overseas to become the main attraction in boxing. Pac did not go to Europe to become a main attraction, instead he came to USA. You people want to see this man lose so bad that it will only take robbery from European judges to make that happen. The Oakland excuse excuse is out off style, so come again. His last fight was not in Oakland. His win over Froch was not in Oakland. The guys that lost to him did not lose because the fight was in Oakland.

No one. I mean no ATG boxer wants to fight in Europe.
Don King drags Jones to Russia only because he is all but exiled in the US and can only work those behind the scenes deals in Russia.

England? Everyone sees how their refs are. Look how they stopped the Froch-Groves fight. What American boxer would allow themselves to be ripped off like that in bum-fuk England. LOL
