Kessler gave Calzaghe a tough fight and was winning until he injured his hand, Ward totally schooled Kessler from beginning to end. The reason for this is Ward is elite, Calzaghe was not.

Calzaghe's win over Eubank is better than he gets credit for on here... Lets also not forget that it was his first big fight and due to nerves didn't re-hydrate properly.

I think the best version of Joe beats the best version of Eubank.

I don't see many people overrating him. Most people seem to agree that he was a very good fighter who fought in a weak era for his division.

Ridiculous that you compare prime Kessler facing end of career, last fight at the weight old Calzaghe to prime Ward facing past best, rusty, inactive, double vision suffering Kessler.
Still Kessler wasnt winning like you try and claim and it was Calzaghe that took the 0 and showed the way. Something which Ward has failed to do.
Since you are noting comparable wins then look at how old end of career Calzaghe looked better against prime Bika than Ward did facing a rusty Bika.
Ward hasnt yet beaten a top prime SMW, let alone a top prime undefeated SMW champ

Bailoss thinks Ward should have taken away Kesslers 0 before Calzaghe did by fighting Mikkel whilst Ward was still an amateur or in high school.

how does he do that, Bailoss?
do you get off with pitting Kessler against an amateur teenager?

    FLOP, mate.

    You selfpwned there Herol.
I noted they are different eras and you said they are not, then posted how Ward wouldnt have been boxing then.
Just for reference Ward was in the early stages of his career against fighters like Boone then

Yet you want him to 'take kesslers 0 like calzaghe'. EXACTLY, clearly he cant, now at last you admit it.

there is no one with an undefeated record for Ward to face, so how can you count this against him?
will you always hold it against him even when Ward has completed his career?
    explain.

No i don't see it like that i'm afraid, Andre Ward can't draw for **** he would make far far more money fighting Froch vs Groves winner in the UK, he would make far more fighting in Canada against the two top LHW's so no i don't see it like that, you can't accuse other fighters of staying at home and then say nothing when US fighters do the same hypocrite isn't a strong enough word for it.

There's nothing to see mate, that's the way it is, and how it's always been.

Andre probably would make more money fighting a Froch rematch etc, but he doesn't need to do it. He's already beaten him comfortably with an injured hand. He's got nothing to prove. He's already regarded as the best SMW in the world, and he's on the P4P list.

    It's not being hypocritical.

Andre Ward does not have to fight out of America.

But Joe did HAVE to fight in America to have bigger fights and get his recognition. Frank W even made an embarrassing match with Peter Manfredo to raise his U.S. profile.

America is home to the biggest promoters, networks, venues and the world's best fighters.

Any fighter who's not U.S. based, who wants to progress his career, goes to the U.S. at some point.

Joe's circumstances were COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to Andre Ward's.
