This would be a good stylistic match-up. And if Quigg beats Martinez impressively, it could set up a fight with Frampton.
Why would it set up a fight with Frampton??? Quigg's a belt holder, Carl doesn't have anything to bargain with.
Would be a quality fight and I think Quigg takes it, he's underrated on here. Imagine if Quigg beats Kiko and Frampton beats Santa Cruz, Quigg v Frampton could be for the IBF, WBC and WBA titles.
Solaris your hatred of Irish fighters shines through again, Quiggs belt is paper and meaningless not a world title. Frampton has the much bigger fanbase, brings more money to the table, he also has a fight with LSC in the future and if he wins will hold a world title, when the time comes it will be Frampton who holds the cards not Quigg, Frampton holds most of them already anyway, Quiggs paper belt is just that paper and doesn't hold weight to any real boxing fan.
As a mandatory. It's not a fight LSC's people want, or it'd have been done by now. Carl's a dangerous opponent who brings little to the table. Learn to understand how business works and you won't embarrass yourself time and again. Quigg is a much more attractive proposition to the likes of Kiko and LSC whether you want to accept it or not.
Stop talking rubbish mate - LSC might not fight Frampton next or even the fight after that but he has openly expressed interest in fighting Carl in interviews even when not directly asked about him. I like Quigg but Leo has never mentioned him and the Americans have no idea who he is and couldn't give a crap about his belt which probably came out of Hearns box of cornflakes. Showtime have expressed an interest in Carl, GBP sent over officials to Belfast even American fight fans where getting excited about Frampton across all the boards after he beat the kid the other day. LSC v Frampton is the most financially lucrative bout in the division whether in Ireland or the US. As for Kiko agreed it probably more likely that Hearn could cut a deal with him to fight Quigg as he knows Frampton KO's him again before he can cash in on the belt with a couple of defences before cashing out against a LSC, Frampton & to a lesser extent Rigo who HBO don't even want to put on despite his brilliance.
What is your point? Unless you're Floyd very few fighters back down when asked if they want to fight someone who is seen as a genuine rival. If the fight was so easy to make with LSC why has Carl gone down the mandatory route?
Read what I said again.....I have read/heard various interviews when Leo has said he wanted to fight Carl without being specifically asked about him. You do understand what being a mandatory means right? What a stupid thing to ask atsch
That would be ideal but you just know the winner would probably duck Rigo, everybody openly says they are ducking Rigo
If if was the biggest fight out there for LSC and the biggest money maker why is it still not agreed? As I said Frampton is dangerous and do LSC's people want him to take the fight considering he is already well paid and others present much less of a risk? They have had to force themselves into a mandatory position as they clearly can't get the fight without it.
Lets hope Quigg and his team focus on Kiko and let LSC for Frampton. Carl has already been gazumped once before when Kiko beat him to a title fight vs Romero. Be awful if it was to happen again - and it might. It is not impossible that if Quigg is prepared to "work cheap" which he probably is given that he brings so little to the table, - and LSC views him as a softer more beatable option than Frampton - that Carl just might be bypassed and left outside the loop again. Dont say it couldnt happen.
