If Briggs crushes a few more cans, then strings together a few solid wins over the likes of Ding, Gavern, and follows those 5-6 wins with a win over a top 30 like Oquendo, Ibragimov, Ustinov, Fedosov etc......this would not be a bad voluntary defense.

As it stands.......Briggs didnt earn his shot at Liakovich. He didnt earn his shot at Vitali. And IMO, barely outpointing the 48 yo Foreman wasnt TRULY enough to earn his shot vs Lewis.

No but there isn't much choice. I'd rather see Briggs than Leapai tonight

Yeah fair enough, I just don't see any of that happening though do you??? Briggs might not even be top 75 at this point, and I'm not sure he can beat anybody in the 100 decisively. So it's likely he'll take the same path to a title shot that Rahman did a few years ago, fight club fighters here and there until he gets his shot. Be it Wlad(I hope not), or the future WBC champ or the WBA-Regular champ.... Just don't see him taking any risks, because as soon as he loses his stock will plummet and he won't even be a good name for contenders/prospects to pad their records with.

Although Briggs does look like he as a bit more left than Rahman did in 2012, still a badly faded fighter with little to offer the division....

Who told you that? Wlad will duck Pulev, and Fury and Wilder.

no he won't, Fury was the one ducking Wlad, Pulev only started complaining this year, before that he was constantly saying he needs 2-3 fights more, Wilder ducked Chisora, Fury and TT, he has a long way to go to Wlad

I post about boxing and Wlad just happens to be in the division I like best.

You tapped out of every boxing debate with me only to return a few days later to post this type of rubbish. Can you say bitterness??

Everytime you had to back up that bull**** with a source you went missing and turned up the next day saying the exact same load of ****.:patsch

And an insider has informed me Briggs was traveling aound Germany in the K2 shuttle bus so expect Wlad to fight Briggs next , not Pulev.

not even Wlad, with his recent string of questionable opponents, would fight Briggs next, he knows that he'd be riddiculed if he did

yesterday I posted exactly what Wlad said, Fury has been offered the fight multiple times, only to turn the offer down, Wlad WILL fight Pulev next, followed by Chisora-Fury winner, you posted what Hennesey said, both Wlad's camp and Hennesey wanted the fight, which eventually didn't happen for a reason

And I posted Fury saying it was bull folllowed by a video of Mick saying he made plenty offers and that k2 want nothing to do with Fury.

I even posted a video of Bounter saying they don't have to go near Fury for another year and a half.

You have been blown out of the water.

    Most definitely NOT.

    But I wouldn't mind seeing Briggs-Leapai.

if his next WBO mandatory is in 18 months, then he has every right to fight IBF mandatory Pulev next, Leapai is WBO mandatory, Fury could have taken the fight in March 2012, Wlad chose Mormeck because Arreola, Price, Fury and a bunch of others declined:

Fury had his chance, didn't take it, so he shouldn't be crying about it
