Joe Louis reign is easier to beat, Wlad might not have 10 defenses left in him

Next Couple years? Mayweather will get to 50-0.

Wlad won't get another 10 defenses in 2 years. Regardless, I think the All-Time Title Defense record is greater than the 50-0 record.

Marciano's streak is one of the most meaningless records in sports. Right up there with Pacquiao's 8 belts or whatever it is.

Pretty sure Marciano's 49-0 streak isn't a universally recognized record, is it?

Lots of fighters have had better streaks. His record is just that he retired undefeated as a champ with more wins and no draws than anyone else.

I also like that Greb had Floyd's entire 45-0 career in one year while winning over 50 straight fights. SRR had a streak of 88-0-2 following his first loss (40-0 before that). Monzon went 62-0-9 to end his career.

Larry Holmes was 48-0, streak ended in 2 alleged robberies vs Spinks.

    Finito was 51-0-1.

    Pep was 62-0, then 72-0-1.

    JCC was 89-0-1.

    Wilde was 93-0-2 (possibly more).

Brian Nielsen, Jimmy Barry, and Hal Bagwell also deserve a mention.

So yeah, Floyd can go 50-0 all he wants, nobody who KSAB will care that much (unless he wins the middleweight title while doing it).

Marciano record has been smashed many times int he lower divisions- nearly doubled !!

Joe Louis defenses were of the full lineal ring title.

Wlads defenses of that same title began when he defeated Chagaev :deal

Or do we also give Louis credit for champ when he was merley contender ?

Since The Undertakers streak ended, there's no betting what streaks could end in the next few years.

Aren't you forgetting about Cesar Chavez getting to 87-0?

Wlad can easily beat the record.. Not that it's of a high priority to him. if he fights 2 more times this year, 3 times next year and so on he could in theory break the record before he turns 41.
