In my eyes, Ali's ability to adjust was his greatest asset. Adjustments are the key to any master boxers ability to win.

Take the example of Ali fighting Frazier. He knows Frazier's money shot is the left hook, and he calibrates his defense perfectly for it. He does this to make sure he isn't getting hit with the SAME shot all night long.

Please view this footage and take some notes. Notice how Frazier comes out with the left hook in the beginning of the fight, and continues throwing the same punch for the entire fight.

The current generation could learn a thing or two by watching THE GREATEST make such adjustments.

Boxers today are BIGGER, but if you look at SKILL, it's a different story.

Look at how Ali adjusts to Fraziers left hook! Amazing

It would be nice to read a thread on Muhammad Ali, perhaps a generation or two from now, where people neither idolize him too much nor try too hard in an attempt to denigrate him.

That time is not here yet, however.

Ali brought personality and show men ship to the sport. He's great for the fights he was in inside the ring and the biggest one of all outside the ring. Another good reason why he's great is because he said he was, and boxing fans around the world agreed. Name another fighter who came in the game and made folks believe he was the greatest. Ali career has been over for years and many fighters have came before him, and after the him, and some then and now were and probably are better, but only one made a dent in people minds that he should own that title. Fly like a butterfly sting like a bee Muhammed Ali G.O.A.T.

Speaking up against an unjust war that was apparently being fought for 'freedom' when his own people couldn't so much bat an eye at whiet women

Being a black man in 1960s America and having a billion Muslims name their sons after you

Taking on some of the most brutal HW opposition when the US governemnt took away three yeras of his prime.

Muhammad Ali is greater than boxing
