Irrelevant. The ring is usually correct, however even the ring themselves are not bigger than the lineal title. Whcih Wlad reestablished due to the contenders beaten, it mattered not that ring handed their belt to him, just like it mattered not that the WBA striped Chagev before that fight.

I totally agree with you. The one thing I would say is that if a fighter had unified all of the belts (WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO) then all of the defenses since the initial belt should be included as the Undisputed Title Defenses.

If they don't unify all of the belts then they shouldn't claim Undisputed Title Defenses when there are other titlists claiming to be "The Champion".

neither Klitschko has beaten one elite boxer in their life. Furthest thing from dominating. you can have all the paper defenses you want. that does not make it impressive

i don't care if he has 100 title defense if its against the likes of his past competition it means nothing

If you do that then you may as well give Joe Louis title defenses when he entered the top ten then before he fought his first title fight because those same fights today wouldve had a WBO or IBF belt on the line.

I see where you are going with this (more belts, easier to become a "champion"), but I could also say that there are more fighters now a days so it's more difficult to be HW Champ.

Regardless it's one of the many reasons boxing is in a downfall.

I gotta point out the obvious to dummies quite often. Look at the majority of names during Louis' reign. Post them on here. Then go over each one of them and tell us how elite they were with their boxing accomplishments. Same with Holmes.

Exactly. Especially Holmes and Louis. So before more haters bash the Klitschkos (verbally. Because that's the only way they can) they should look at who Holmes and Louis defended against. Some good names on their list yes. But 80% were not elite caliber

    :good

When a guy today holds paper belts he is only contender beating other contenders.

Joe Louis and Ali and all those other guys did that too before they won the only championship. Rack up Louis defenses since he was top 5 contender also.

Same can be said of: Tyson, Holmes, Listen and Louis.

The Tyson that lost to Buster > the one who lost to Lewis and Holy.

Buster won fair and square, but despite Tyson being in super poor shape and having an awful corner that night, he still almost knocked him out.

You act like I just started following boxing the other day. Give it a rest. I know he didn't have 16 defenses of all the belts combined.

    ok homie

Im just pointing out that heavyweights unlike the other divisions where these corrupt organisations have fragmented everything, that there is still a clear line for the one and only title.
