    Round 3

Figueroa is hacking lightly with his right hand up close, landing behind the earlobe of Belmontes. Left hooks by Figueroa, wrapping around behind the head of Belmontes or hitting the right bicep as he lifts it. Body shots by Figueroa, cleaving inside. Belmontes shoves out at him, not throwing much in the lean-in clinch. Counter right hand by Belmontes. Double slapping left hook by Figueroa, and some more flurries on the body. Belmontes grinds into Figueroa, putting his left forearm into the champion's throat and then swiveling with a hook as Figueroa is opening up with a spray of sloppy blows from body to head. Counter down the middle by Belmontes.

10-9 Figueroa, just edged the challenger with hustle & muscle.

    29-28 Belmontes

Terrific start to the fight. Belmontes landing clearner, but Omar just outhustled him to shade the third.

Yeah, that *****. Holding the round 4 card.

You can almost see Omar's glaze drying on her lips. :-(

    Fight-rigging *****.

  7. 3rd was close and competitive, Belmontes is hanging right in there. Figueroa doing a lot of head-hunting, no work downstairs

    Round 4

Figueroa is leading with hitch-up left hooks, climbing from the hip up to Belmontes' face and falling short as Belmontes glides around the ring. Belmontes hunkers down and waits, countering with pinpoint rights when Figueroa steps to him. Wild lunging jab by Figueroa, short. Belmontes picks off jabs with his right glove, rolling his upper body in undulating sidelong waves. Belmontes is staying at rage to outbox Figueroa with jabs on the move and push-in counter rights. Figueroa jumps in and holds Belmontes, clapping light hooks along his sides. Figueroa has a bloody nose.

    10-9 Belmontes

    39-37 Belmontes

Omar has worked his way back into the fight through...well...workrate. Belmontes isn't nearly as active as he was in first three.

    38-38

  14. Through 4,Figueroa looks terrible, all his flaws are very evident tonight. Let's see if he figures this out vs Belmontes
