    Round 5

Figueroa is pushing inside and slapping light hooks up at the head. Belmontes tries shoving free to counter in short bursts and then clasp back on, head burrowed in between his own forearms and resting against Figueroa's chest. Figueroa drags his right into Belmontes' ribs and slaps up top with a left hook. Belmontes catches some ear-boxing looping combos delivered up from the hips by Figueroa, on the backs of his gloves, up like earmuffs. Belmontes is slipping punches with ducking and head turns, arms down. Figueroa starts to flurry and skid his knuckles across the sides of Belmontes' head. Light chopping right on the head, and weak left hook on the body by Figueroa. Belmontes simply isn't countering, just leaning into Figueroa and giving away the point by default. Right hand by Belmontes near the bell, but Figueroa neutralizes it with his own flush right, maybe his best shot all night.

    10-9 Figueroa

    48-47 Belmontes

Figueroa is pressing in and throwing left hooks and high rights, clapping most against the shoulders and temples of Belmontes, glancing blows. Intermittent short counter rights popped in by Belmontes, mostly just digging his left forearm into Figueroa to hold him at bay while holding ground, then backing out with jabs or quick flashes of cheek smacks with both hands.

    10-9 Figueroa

    57-57
