i agree fully, the weight loss and continous beatings hasnt helped his punch resistance one bit, briggs roided to the nines, is pretty ****ing tough.
but i think chisora would be more competitive, hes got more nimble and fitter, shame he doesnt punch too hard.

Is it me, or do Brits seem to put more stock in the "prefight" than we do in the U.S.?

Not trying to flame, but I see so many threads on the Brit forum that revolve around "the weigh-in would be great," "the press conferences would be awesome," etc.

Sorry, but I don't care about those things. I want to see good fighters facing each other, and good fights.

Briggs may be in decent shape, but he's beyond shot.... Reflexes, coordination aren't there anymore. Not sure he's even top 100 at this point....

I didn't say they don't do things to promote the fight and generate publicity in the U.S.

I said that many fans in Britain seem to get more excited about "oh it's going to be a great weigh-in" or "can you imagine how good the press conference is going to be" than they do about the fights. At least I see a LOT more posts on message boards (including this thread, or Fury-Haye, or whatever) about that sort of thing on the British Boxing Forum than I do from non-Brit fans.

Why is that? Who cares about that if it's not going to be an epic scrap?

I think @TheCannonBriggs is just another grandad trying to make a bit of nose like @RealJamesToney & @tigertompson. This is a young mans job.

    :deal

too many boxing fans in general are like that.... even some in the states. I've seen the Klitschkos bashed because they let their actions in the ring do the talk, and don't make any ass of themselves by **** talking their oppenent, starting brawls etc. They don't use that kind of shennangans to hype up fights....
