Please discuss. Never knocked down until September 14th, 2013 and now he's been down 3 times in 2 fights. Once by Danny Swift Garcia Twice in this fight and also buzzed like 15 times against John Molina (Someone who was knocked out in 1 round by DeMarco and coming up to LWW). The dude had glazed eyes for the first 5-6 rounds. I gotta admit, I thought John had a good shot of actually knocking Matthysse out but he was a 10-1 underdog and almost put Matthysse out. He was hurting Lucas with every shot. How is Lucas supposed to survive against the really big punches @ 40/47. Those dudes actually have far more skill than Molina and could definitely put Lucas out. John has some power but it's very clear that Matthysse's chin just isn't granite. Garcia completely destroyed him.
Leave the chin checking to the pros. You're obviously not very knowledgeable about chins nor are you one of the chincheckers.
Good chin 8/10. The legit knockdown from Molina was a full forced right hand, I'd venture to say that would drop most LWW (would have put Khan in a coma). Lucas got up and recovered quickly. Molina can punch, this isn't like getting dropped by Timothy Bradley or Paulie Malgnaggi.
The only reason he got by Molina is because Molina didn't have the skills to finish him. His name could've been Lucky Lucas tonight.
He was being buzzed by almost every punch Molina threw at him. It was literally shocking. I didn't think Garcia had ruined him to this degree. How is Lucas going to survive against the BIG punchers of 147/140? I haven't an idea. Ruslan/Garcia (2)/Thurman/Porter/Pac would make mince meat out of him.
Just wish you could get over the fact that some people are matthysse fans and no matter how much you troll and slag him off you can't change that...
