Why didn't Tyson use any head movement in the Buster Douglas fight?

Exactly Tillis was an over the hill journeyman who gave Tyson all he could handle, I don't care who he'd fought, he was passed it!!

Pensioner Holmes was doing ok until he got caught, what the hell did Mike do up until he landed the big right hand?? apart from be his usual dirty self??

Just imagine what Douglas would have done to him in that fight with his jab and sharp right hand, aswell as those nice combinations that dismantled Tyson.

You post bull**** excuses of how Tyson took Holyfield lightly when you know deep down in your heart that he wouldn't dream of doing such a thing. I don't give a **** what he said after the fight because all they are are bull**** excuses!!

The man is a lier and a manipulator!! Hell the ****** even went on TV to try and overturn the result in Tokyo when Douglas battered him senseless, the little ***** couldn't admit that he was destroyed!!

Hahahaha!! Just look at the 15 minute mark where Merchant mentions Tyson getting knocked down in sparring by Greg Page, Tinkerbell Tyson blatantly lies stating he never got knocked down at all! Little did he know that the tape would eventually surface. The man is a compulsive lier!!

Go to the 24:00 mark, Douglas was infact ill the week before the fight and was on penicillin and antihistamines for his ailments. Kind of pisses all over Tyson's excuses of a few nights out and shagging ladyboys!!!

Just accept it, Tyson was destroyed by the better fighter on the night, no bull**** excuses needed!

I have to inject something here.
What Merchant had said was, ''was the fact that you were knocked down in training, which has happened to you before it happens too a lot of fighters, but was it indicitive of the result of the fight?'' and what Tyson had said was no I never got knocked down in training before, it was blown out of proportion''. Tyson was not refering to the Page knockdown, a knockdown which he had already acknowledged as legitimate weeks earlier. What Tyson was saying was that it had been blown out of proportion that he had been knocked downprior to the page knockdown.

The footage had already been released weeks before, and confirmed by King and Tyson as legitimate, however rumopurs began to surface about Tysons bad training habits and poor preperation,, in order to dispell these rumours that Tyson was out of shape, a member of his camp had stold the press that Tyson had been knocked down before Page in training and that it was nothing unusual and nothing to worry about, when in fact that was bull**** and the Page knockdown was most likely the first time he'd been down in many years.

So what's your explanation for Tyson's excuses of partying when that is blown out of the water by Douglas's illness? I know which would affect a fighter more, I few nights out partying or a bout of tonsillitis!

I haven't heard any excuses to do with partying frim Tyson directly, all he did was praise Douglas on fighting a terrific fight. As for the protest after the fight King is the one who insisted on protesting, and the IBF made that preposterous statement they weren't sanctioning the fight until a review had taken place (testiment to how strong an influence King had back then) Tyson wanted no part of it but King insisted and he went along with it. but if you read the book 'the last great fight' you will constantly see Tyson wasn't ready for a tough fight that night, he assumed Douglas would roll over.

I'm sorry but I don't believe half of what is written in books, especially since they have an agenda. Everyone has got an excuse, facts are Douglas wasn't even 100% and still destroyed Tyson.

Gil Clancy and Angelo Dundee both agree that they would have fancied Douglas again in a rematch. Douglas had the perfect style to beat Tyson and in my opinion would have always done, the fight itself is the perfect proof of my claims.

Two of his biggest detractors couldn't wait to get on TV and gloat about his loss to Douglas could they  i bet they came in their pants that night :lol:. You never saw them before that **** did you. Apart from maybe when Tyson destoyed angelo's 'other class' Pinklon Thomas with 'the best jab since Liston' **** those guys they don't know **** they never fought a day in their life .
Douglas a better fighter than Tyson?
This is ludicrous, Tyson is worth a hundred Douglases who quit whenever it gets tough, their records speak for themselves.
The Tyson who disected Biggs, Holmes, Tubbs and Spinks would not be caught with even half of the shots Douglas was catching that slow, plodding, half-asleep Tyson with.
