His PPVs go for 70bucks a pop.

Wlad never sold PPV in his life because he would be lucky to get more than a few 100 buys.

 

Im not even a Wlad fan and i know Haye and Povetkin were 2 very good wins for him

Then you gotta watch the fights. They are paper wins, especially the Povetkin fight. No boxing fan with some knowledge of former HW champs, or Wlads own pre-2010 fights for that matter, can tell me that they were good wins. They are pathetic performances by a HW champ standard.

 

Im not disputing his performances, im merely answering your post regarding Wladmir not having a good win since 2010.

 

Wlad never got 2 million PPV buys on HBO. His continually poor ratings made HBO stop showing Klitschko fights altogether. Remember that the Klitschko bros tried hard to break through in the US some years ago?

Do you even think Wlad would get 500.000 PPV buys in Germany? You can't compare freeTV an PPV. Not many would want to pay to see him fight, even in Germany, an certainly not in Eastern Europe. Believe me that. A 9m freeTV public is still respectable, but nothing compared to what the likes of Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Tyson and so on achieved on free TV across the world.

To my recollection Wlad has never fought a PPV card, so denegrating his PPV sales is stupid. with that said, 9 million views is 10% of the population of Germany...I don't know a lot of fighters who are getting 10% of the the US population tuning in to their fights free or otherwise....33 million domestic views?

Listen He's very popular in Germany maybe his popularity ebbs and flows a little but get off it.

Great Title defense against an overmatched oponent... All I heard before the fight was that Wlad would be scared and out box this guy for 12 rounds then he gets in the ring and tries for a first round KO...Wlad can't win with the haters end of story
