    :deal

No wonder why Mayweather doesn't get the credit that he should deserve as his resume is lacking opponents that could posses a BIG Threat to him.

Because 90% of people want him to lose desperately, regardless of opponent.

So even if he was 45-1 or 40-6, he'd be hated and his record would be torn apart the same as it is now.

The only difference is that without suffering defeat and only having had a couple close fights in his career, those same people fail to cite facts, images, or videos such as the ones after KTFO6 were used to belittle the fans of the man they so vehemently dislike.

If he wasn't so great, he wouldn't have a fraction of the followers; those who root for or against him. And he's the most talked about man in boxing and has been for years.

His depth of top tier victories is amazing. Future HOF'ers, then-P4P'ers, and lineal champions litter his resume.

    Take your pick...

    Genaro Hernandez
    Diego Corrales
    Jose Luis Castillo
    Oscar de la Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Shane Mosley
    Miguel Cotto
    Saul Alvarez

I feel his best win is either the wipe out TKO of Corrales, then viewed as a top P4P fighter and a wrecking machine at 130 by everyone, or the close battle in the rematch with Castillo, usually viewed as the greatest Lightweight of the 2000-2009 decade... Honorable mentions to Marquez, an underrated victory over a legend who would pick up an ATG win at the weight the fight was contested and beating Genaro in an epic one sided youth vs. experience battle over a likely top ten Super Feather ever... Also, Alvarez has the chance with his promotional backing and drawing power to position himself to have an amazing career from here on, which could make that win in the argument some time from now.

...But he has fought at WW in the past calendar year.

And he has a whole bunch of other big wins at the weight class.

And he is the only WW who one can argue is the lineal champion today (as some publications and rankings do have him as lineal at WW, others don't...).

    Sooooo...

I agree; if Maidana decisively defeats Mayweather in a few days then Pac certainly vaults to #1. However, if it is the other way around, Mayweather only further asserts his claim.

    Hmm.

Guerrero is the "guy not well established at the weight. Entering the Floyd fight, it was Guerrero's third ever fight at WW.

How many of Pacquiao's last several opponents were that experienced at WW?

Well, how "established at the weight" are the other guys you mentioned? I'll tell you:

Brandon Rios (first ever fight at WW),
Bradley I (second ever fight at WW),
Bradley II (established at weight; fifth fight at WW),
Marquez III (second ever fight at WW),
or Marquez IV (third ever fight at WW; technically 0-2 at WW).

An Olympic bronze medal is a life defining achievement, dude.

The only fail going on here is your assessment of all of those future Hall of Famers.

number 1 at WW was PAC
Bradley beat PAC to become number 1
PAC beat bradley to reclaim the title and number 1 spot

    Yeah.

Bradley II was a great win and propelled Pacquiao back to the top 2 at WW, where he'd been away from for a year and a half.

Lets face it; neither exactly face long time staples of the WW top ten every fight out (because there is nobody who meets that qualification... everyone in the division since either one got there can be discredited with "natural size," age, or lack of proven experience at the weight... too easy to discredit wins, anyone can do it).

Also, KTFO6 did happen. Believe it or not, that rightfully negatively impacted Pac's rankings pretty heavily.
