Sounds like your more knowledgeable than me (don't even really know what antitrust means, lol) but from what's being reported they're saying it's on the owners, implying they have the power. If they have the power, I gotta disagree. They're in a business where bad image can affect sales. People can easily say I'm not going to Clips games or buying their products because they have a racist owner. I would think there has to be a venue to be voted out if such a situation arose where a person can negatively affect sales.

I think 3/4 of the owners can try to force a sale for financial reasons and there is some vague clause about character or something like that. If the League tries to make Sterling sell the team for less than it's worth, it raises antitrust issues. Moreover, if Sterling chooses to litigate, he can use discovery to bring out the racist behavior of some of the other owners and you better believe he's not the only racist that owns a NBA team. Sterling started out as an attorney and he has said that he doesn't want to sell the team. I would be willing to bet that the League's actions don't go any further.

I'm not reading anything into Mayweather's claim. Other than character issues, there is no reason why Mayweather couldn't join other investors and try to buy the Clippers.
