Let me start by saying i am NOT trying to make a terrible attempt at promoting this fight, it does not benefit me in the slightest nor am i a '*****' or a '*******' At that press conference and afterwards Mayweather doesn't seem his usual confident self, speaking with a lump in his throat and sounding bored with the whole thing. He said this fight is not gunna be like the last few. He got hurt in the guerrero and canelo fight and couldn't finish them. I think he's gunna try and finish Maidana to get the fans approval. I think the fans public dislike is getting to him. Sure he can act like he doesn't care but when you cant leave the house or go cinema on his own, having to be with security all the time is getting to him. For the first time ever, I have seen a Floyd who doesn't look scared about losing. In interviews after he talks about retiring and being difficult to find the motivation anymore. When you look back at different fighters major losses, its due to their head not being in the right place. I have a bad feeling about this fight. I think he's going to look for the KO or look to bring his A game out and get surprised in the process. Yeah i know Maidana is a z level fighter and whatever else but when a fighters head aint in the game it doesnt matter who is standing opposite!
Well I guess he is making his excuses early so if he does get KO'd by Maidana, he wasn't motivated for this fight.
I think hes gonna go for the KO for sure. I know people tell him that crap all the time, "How come u havent KO anybody in forever" Hes gonna go for it. good for him, he should be able to stop Maidana
I think he has realized that a loss or the showing of heart in a fight wins the fans approval. He has yet to do this because he has been far too good for every opponent. I think he is gunna risk putting everything on the line for credibility. Seeing pac get KO'd yet still universally liked by all. Promoting himself when younger as this bad dude that cant be beat. Now at his mature age realizing that even though it got him money and attention, he didnt gain the admiration from the man on the street
Floyd looks "off" in every presser. He looked "off" in every face off. Yet that had zero predictive value for the outcome of his fights.
I noticed this is as well. I wasn't sure whether he was just really tired (mayweather is notorious for being a night owl). or perhaps something else. I couldn't tell if he was just really emotional or what.
I always hear casual fans say this. They tell me he looks like he doesn't want to be there or he looks a little nervous. I've noticed it to before his fights. Mayweather always looks a little off. But..... he isn't. That's just how he is before fights.
Floyd will run circles around Maidana, Maidana won't land jack**** and everyone will forget Floyd looked "off". And then next fight all will be forgotten and next presser idiots will come out of the woodworks again saying "Oh man Floyd looked off".
