A man's defense and speed culminates into a level of elusiveness you have never witnessed, combining counter-punching whilst boxing on the back foot early on in the fight with the steady progression towards standing in the pocket where quickness is utilised in the exchanges.

It's all the mind games. It has to be taxing mentally.

All the missed punches that get countered. Frustration kicks in. Those walls of self-belief etched into your mind begin to erode.

One second hes the smaller man the next hes walking you down.
Then when you finally catch him clean he smiles at you.

As with all the greats, it looks and feels totally different from the outside looking in.

Tyson's ferociousness; Pacquaio's left hand; Hopkins' smarts. You convince yourself you can cope with it but then when you recognise the initial shock and realise that you have been fooling yourself , you start mentally breaking down.

It all has to be so discouraging that you eventually lose belief.

Saturday night will be no different with Marcos Maidana.

if a baby hits your face enough times its going to get annoying It has nothing do to with duckweathers power

if the coward fought the tough fights instead of cherry picking his way we wouldn't be talking like this...

Holyfield handled Tyson, Jmm handled Pacquioa , JC handled Hopkins.

If Floyd fought anybody at JC or Holyfields level then he would be in the ****.

"If my Aunty had balls, she could have been my uncle."

44 have tried and 45 times, they came up short. Until they crack the mayvinci code, it remains the best in the game. :deal

Yea, I think certain fighters didn't go into survival mode with mayweather like Hatton, Castillo. Pacquaio wouldn't.

i think it really comes down to psychological conditioning. every attempt you make at touching him, he responds with punishing counters. after enough pairings, learned helplessness sets in, punishment becomes unavoidable and any offense you throw at him makes it worse.

Yeah, seems pretty much the real thing... Like Cotto going into survival mode but against Pac, not against Mayweather... Like Hatton trashed in 2 rounds against Pacquiao, not against Mayweather...Like ODLH systematically beaten from pillar to post and stopped in the 9th against Pacquiao, not against Mayweather.

Pretty much, I see almost Mayweather opponents tryin and tryin to the last bell so there's a difference between being dominated and walking blindfolded like connected to a leash on Floyd's hands and fighting on survival mode. Not even Ortiz fought on survival mode against Floyd.
