Is it fair to say now that Calzaghe's win over Hopkins trumps any win Mayeather has?

    With Hopkins coming into his prime years during his 40's Joe's fantastic win over him is looking better and better. There's no stopping Hopkins now that ATG's like Calzaghe are no longer about but never the less, almost a decade after getting whipped by Joe, Hopkins is still able to score perhaps his best ever wins. His recent trio of wins over Cloud, Murat and Shemenov are impressive.

    As we all know Mayweather doesn't really have a win over anybody who went on to do anything worthwhile after Mayweather fought them in their near 40's. Probably Ricky Hatton is Floyd's best ever win over a prime opponent, but he did nothing remotely worthwhile after. Embarrassingly getting KTFO in a couple of his next fights if I remember correctly.

    It's fair to say Calzaghe's win beats any win that Vlad Klitscho has but Mayweather? Hell no.

    Plus, Calzaghe barely won the fight . I had him down 2 points and he went down from a right hand in rd 1.

    Calzaghe's win over Hopkins does not "trump" multiple wins of Mayweather. Mayweather has wins comparable to if not maybe a little better.

    Calzaghe looked like dog **** against Bernard.... got taught a counter punching masterclass... but racist judges gave him the decision...


    Calzaghe got dropped by a shot Roy Jones... says everything that needs to be said about his skill level.
