What about the Gate genious? Over $15 million at the gate.

    International television rights?

    Closed circuit??

1 Million buys is more then enough to cover the nut, they can probably cover the nut with 700k since the gate is so juicy.

Above all, this is a business, and business is about making money. Showtime brought FLoyd into the fold because they thought he was going to make them money. The first fight failed to do this, that's why they had to fight Canelo. This fight(Maidana/Floyd) will also fail to meet expectations which means Showtime will be hard-pressed to find Floyd another dance-partner that can make them some money.

IMO, the only 2 fighters that can help FLoyd break the 1.5 mark are Canelo (2) and Pac!

Will be surprised if he makes $1.5m, he's most likely making $1.1m at best in my opinion.

Expanding on that, with 3 fights left there is virtually nobody around to make any of the next 3 fights over 1.5 million PPV buys. The only person left may be Cotto, should he beat Martinez. And that is just one fight that Floyd can make. Other than that, nothing.

This is Showtime's bubble bursting. Floyd's value has peaked and has no where else to go but down.

The fight is priced at $74.99, I'd wager it doesn't have to do anything close to 1.5m to break even. Utter nonsense.

The fighters are guaranteed around $33.5m.

The fight will take $12m in gate receipts, which will more than cover any overheads and undercard.

That makes the break-even less than 500k.

Showtime is losing their arse on this Mayweather deal. HBO will get the last laugh.

Collazo is Puerto Rican out of NY. This is probably the least Mexican filled Cinco de Mayo card ever.

Instead of trying to do the math and guess at things I have no idea at I will say one thing. How any fights have reached 1.5 mill buys and would SHO gamble that ALL 6 fights would reach the level only a couple have done before? Logic dictates that this is wrong

That's why they're pulling all stops, even bringing up the old Pacquiao is on steroids to bring up interests. Unfortunately that sh!t gets old and no one cares.

    Showtime effed up.

But when you think about it, what fight is out there that can generate over a million PPV's, besides one that will never happen with Pacquiao? :?
