anyone else think this fight is going to look and end up like Mayweather/Gatti? I really don't see Maidana having any chance and I think Floyd is just going to pick him apart like he did Gatti and probably score a mid-late fight TKO.
Was thinking the same thing. I'm rooting for chino but I think Floyd has the ability to embarrass him horribly like he did gatti.
As much as i wanna think this will happen...it wont. Mayweather was a machine back then, he doesnt fight like that no more. Plus he was mad at Gatti, wanted to make a serious statement to Gattil espcially when he was shooting for Hatton and Cotto for his next fight (both turned down) was still tryong to get respect. Its not like that anymore. hes the king, and has nothing to prove. plus he doesnt fight with that kill mentailty anymore. Wont happen
Shot or not lefthandled, gattis movement is better than chinos and he was a much crisper puncher yet floyd obliterated him. I hope I'm wrong. Floyd typically doesn't embarrass guys even when he has the chance, his animosity towards gatti I think brought that out of him. So, perhaps, he won't do the same to chino because there is no bad blood.
True, but if Maidana is aggressive and keeps charging in and getting caught with shots then he's def going to get banged up and I think Floyd will go in for the kill once he knows he's got Maidana hurting
I always think Floyd can go for the kill but he doesnt anymore. He had Guerero hurt, didnt go for the kill. After he landed that uppercut against canelo, Canelo wanted no more and layed on the ropes to take a massive beating and Mayweather didnt do it. He just doesnt fight like that anymore
Floyd has been in a mental shambles with this shantel/nelly/abortion ****. I'm not confident he'll even beat Maidana.
Of course, It's Maidana... no head movement and flat footed. That's why MOST Boxing fans see this fight as a Mismatch.
floyd never had any real animosity towards gatti in fact he said a few very nice things to and about him after that fight that was floyds first ppv...and he was simply laying the groundwork for his character
