Over 2 fights, did Kell Brook prove he was better than Carson Jones.....

    ....to a greater extent than Shawn Porter did over shot Julio Diaz.

    Bear in mind in the 1st fight Brook was cruising until a clash of heads left him with a badly broken nose, unable to breath and swallowed a lot of blood, yet he dug deep and finished strong to get over the line. Whereas in Porter- Diaz I, Porter had to rely on a robbery.

    In Brook- Jones 2 no such incident occurred and Brook stopped Jones quite easily. Wheras Porter had to rely on a narrow UD after having another difficult night with Diaz.

    His best win is against Sanchenko who had to go life and death with a coked out Hatton.

    Answer the question posed in the thread.

    Brook's best win was actually against Rafael Jackieweiz, who was rated number 7 by the Ring at the time and Brook absolutely butchered him. In one round he failed to land a single punch and Brook stopped him for the 1st time in his career. :hi:

    Yes but Porter failed to get an emphatic victory (and should've had one loss) to Diaz.

    Porter hasn't improved. He still has that style that relies too much on athleticiscm. It'll work against pillow fisted fighters, but unfortunately for Porter, Brook is not feather fisted (hence the quacking noises he's been making).

    Yep because getting wobbled by Soto-Karass and Julio Diaz make you a formidable machine.

    Why is Thurman getting so overrated on here? It's not like he's as terrifying as Golovkin or Kovalev or something.

    Am I right in saying Brook never had a nutritionist until AFTER the first Jones fight?

    He said he wasn't eating the right things and tired badly against Jones.

    Possibly just excuses, but he has definitely looked better since hiring a nutritionist.

    He proved he's overrated as hell. He's supposed to be better than the likes of Jones, wasn't the first fight supposed to be a walkover for Cornflakes or whatever the **** he calls himself?

    I will say Carson Jones was less than a year removed from that good beating he gave to Said Ouali, an impressive upset at the time.

    But Jones has never been anywhere near even the moderate estimations of how good Kell Brook is supposed to be. He shouldn't have fought an even fight with Jones the first time. In the one year before the rematch, Jones fought only twice, drawing once against a relative novice and also fighting a sub .500 opponent.

    Every fighter deals with issues.

    Not every fighter gets a pass for it, as you seem to give Brook.

    I'll try to keep in mind that you believe bleeding through the nose is an excuse for a poor performance so I can inform you of hypocrisy in the future, if it ever occurs.

    "Finished strong" like, even fight at the end strong?

    Carson Jones has never been any where near a world title and Senchenko had already been KO'd by big punching Malignaggi.
