Well it's predictable, It's against Maidana which Mayweather in this fight is a -1200 Favorite to win the fight.
Maidana's only chance in this fight is his power and has to land a clean shot.
    Mayweather has all the advantages,

    - speed
    - ring IQ
    - foot work
    - head movement

    = Mayweather UD

I don't see Pac running for 12 rounds. He's cautious yes, but he is still the initiator and Bradley is the one backing up.

    Power?

Does that conveniently not apply as one of "all the advantages," or what?

    --------------

Also, people are foolish for stating the odds in an attempt to degrade the fight in an attempt to degrade Mayweather... Their agenda driven statements backfire with any remote amount of thought.

All it does is show how much better Mayweather is than everyone else out there.

Among welterweights, there is no other fighter who would be close to a -1200 favorite over Maidana.

So, anyone bringing that up is foolish.

It's the same routine when any big profile fighter is fighting (and more magnified the higher profile they are). They discredit the match up to discredit the win when it happens so it doesn't look great and to try to convince people that "not nearly as much praise should be allotted to them." And if somehow the upset happens, then "they lost to a guy who was even worse than everyone else thought!"

Being a mismatch doesn't change how much credit should be given. Bottom line is that nobody out there would be nearly as big of a favorite over Maidana than Floyd is.

Anyone who uses "who the public betting favorite is" for how to judge the significance of fights is beyond me. You judge fighters careers and legacy based on who they fight and how the fight plays out. Not, "aw, well, Segura was supposed to repeat his KO of Calderon in the rematch so lets not give him any credit for stopping a future HOF'er, nuh-uh..." Did it hold nearly as much significance as the first beating? No. But it is still a great win for the division and for his legacy.

Mayweather is "the initiator" far more than his opponents are. You don't have to be a caveman who abandons defense to be the man who gets off and lands his punch first. That is called initiating. Legs don't initiate. And you can't 118-110 all your opponents without landing a lot of punches. Parrying blows is not a sign of "not initiating," as effective defense is used as an element to scoring a round (unless you somehow choose to ignore that rule).

Pac fighting cautiously= boxing w/ skill, Floyd boxing w/ skill= fighting cautiously
whats the point your trying to make ??
to me there seems nothing wrong with that statement except stating the obvious that floyd fights cautiously with skill which he does!! and that pacman has changed a little and is fighting cautiously with skill aswell which he has ????

Pac Boxing is far more aggressive than Floyd fighting aggressively (at 147 or above), but that shows nothing as Pac is a Aggressive fighter and Floyd is a defensive one
