Without Richard Shaefer Golden boy would be nothing.

When DLH met Shaefer DLH' finances were being run by the owner of

a car dealership. DLH used his popularity as a forum for Shaefer to get the

Golden boy brand started and moving in the right direction. while Shaefer

was branding gold and building an empire. Oscar was blowing coke lines

and enjoying the perks. DLH has some bad character traits. He will blow

this whole thing sad.

 

Nobody knows what will happen.

yes Schafer help build this but now its up and running good, most likely will be able to run without him

 

If a Pac/Void fight were made, look at the money they all would get from the biggest PPV fight in boxing history, not to mention the biggest payday. I think all the promoters should work with each other, including the networks, otherwise all the good fights are out the window!

 

Oscar IS Golden Boy. Without him, it doesn't exist, from a legal standpoint.

 

Remember when boxing fans were fans of boxing? Now it's a bunch of pockets watchers who cheer for promoters and managers as if these fat cat fukks are the ones fighting.

i guess...if thats your opinion sure....

reality is this....sure CEO types are a dime a dozen in reality(sort of).....he can be replaced.....but like i mentioned...apple tried this with steve jobs...and had a few CEOs that were helpless and pretty much ran apple into the ground until they begged jobs to come back....

schaefer is well liked by fighters/employees....hes connected in the game and respected.....finding someone with his acumen and relationships wont be that easy IMO

I just say this ... Oscar n bob are both saying they wanna make some fights happen...dick is saying no...at this point if your backing dicks stance you ain't a fan of boxing your a fan of dick schaefer.

Exactly. But the Apple comparison is inaccurate. Jobs created Apple, and Oscar was the founder of Goldenboy, not Schaefer.

but oscar doesnt deal with tr head to head....he doesnt work the business side of things...if you wanna make a fight with GB you dont call oscar....

i am a fan of boxing...id like to see them work together....but everyone has a breaking point....and richard reached his not too long ago with bob and rightfully so.....richard did say that oscar kinda flip flops from day to day on his stance with arum....bob has continually toyed with GB in regards to a floyd fight with no real intention of making it IMO(and prob that of schaefers too)....

it seems bobs options are limited....at least good ones...in regards to pac....his back almost seems against the wall especially if jmm sticks to his guns and doesnt want another fight with pac.....arum kinda sorta needs them now....look at him talking about pac/canelo....he needs a big fight to boost pacs star drawing power....arum is trying to play nice because he sort of needs GB now.....

oscar and his "shareholders" can do whatever they want....they can fire richard if they want...i think it would be a big mistake...and it would be a mistake for them to open up to TR now after all the crap arum has said and done....
