Is it fair to say now that Calzaghe's win over Hopkins trumps any win Mayeather has?

    Windigo,

    Just curious..

Do you rate Roy's win over Hopkins? Neither were all time great at the time, but both went on to become all time great. Neither lost for over 10 years.

edit: technically Roy lost to Griffin, but I don't really see that as a real loss, especially after what happened in the rematch.

    Windigo,

    curious,

Do you rate Sugar Ray Leonard's win over Thomas Hearns?

    Hearns was 23.

    sincerely,

    conraddobler.

How about Roberto Duran's win over SRL?

I hear SRL went on to do great things. Too bad for Duran because when they fought SRL was only 24 years and 1 month. So it doesn't count, right Windigo?

arguably Kostya Tsyu's best win was against a 24 year old Zab Judah. But it doesn't count because Zab was green.

Dawson's win over Hopkins is better than Calzaghe's win over Hopkins.

And that should put everything into perspective for you...

Losing at 24 as a titlist is being "green?"

EDIT: Nevermind... I see what's going on.

Kostya is in the HOF and is widely recognized as a top 10 JWW of all time, top 5 to many out there...

You're an idiot if you honestly believe that. If you think Hopkins won, fine. It was close, but don't say "most" feel this way.

Its not like Roy was really beat in the first fight, and I think Griffin play acted to get out of it.

Then Roy knocked his head off in round 1..

Sure it counts as a loss, but not like he beat Roy for 12 rounds or knocked him out.

    Well, no.

But you can't dismiss it like that at all...

It's also not as though Roy was up 10 points.
