He didn't draw that on his own. Bradley helped. Bradley and Marquez did 375,000. Bradley had been in 2 PPV's prior to fighting Pac the second time, and had recieved plenty of exposure.

Guerrero was an americanized Latin fighter who didn't have support from the latin community. No one in the world knew who he was outside of Hardcores.

A more accurate comparison would be Rios and Guerrero.

Pac VS Rios- 475,000 (that;s what Pac can do on his own today)
FMJ VS Ghost- 875,000 (that's what Floyd can do on his own today)

Floyd vs Bradley at the same time Pac fought him would do over a mil easy .

IN CHINA, With a crap undercard still manages to do more PPVs than Bradley-Marquez fight was @ Las Vegas which only did 375,000 PPVS.

Why do people keep bringing up "IN CHINA" it aired the same time a normal fight would int he US. No one goes into buying PPV saying " HMM, that fight isnt close to me so Im not buying it"

Well yeah because Pac is a bigger draw than Bradley and Marquez. but can't to big numbers without them. If Bradley wasn't a draw AT ALL that Marquez fight would have brought in around 50k buys because Marquez isn't some PPV stud himself.

Pac on his own can pull a max of 500k. Present day anyway.

That Bradley Marquez undercard was **** too.

Don't forget that a large percentage of Mayweather's PPV numbers are people tuning in to watch him lose. Pac's are primarily fans not haters.

Mayweather also has to resort to cheap gimmicks and tacky marketing ploys to boost his numbers and public profile. Like fighting on Mexican holidays and stacking his undercards with popular Latin fighters.

The pound for pound king is so desperate for celebrity he had to rope in teeny bopper icon Bieber to try and piggyback off his fame LMFAO.

Floyd has both fans and haters. Yall tell yourselves that majority of people pay to see him lose to make yourselves feel better about him winning.

Dude has a lot of fans. Definitely more than Pac

Pac is an International Boxing Superstar and is probably more known around the world than Mayweather.

Pac-Rios was in China, and it has been proven that statistically, in all previous boxing and mma fights that took place abroad, it does 30-40% less. So taking that into account his numbers with Rios are around 700-800k had it been US soil.

JMM had just come out knocking Pacquiao, his stock was through the roof.

Taffet feared the decline might even be greater. He said his research indicated that a pay-per-view emanating from outside the U.S. would only get 30 to 40 percent as much as a show started from within the U.S., despite the fact that the show started at the exact same time as it would have had it been in the U.S.

"So we knew there were challenges and tempered our expectations from the beginning," Taffet said. "It was an extraordinary effort by everyone involved, and we recognized that anything above 350,000 buys would be a success.

"Our efforts in establishing a U.S. media center and originating radio, television and print interviews with legends George Foreman, Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Ray Mancini and Marco Antonio Barrera went a long way toward helping us address some of the challenges and reach the levels that we did."

Oh yeah its a proven stat? Did you know that 80% of stats people bring up in debates are made up on the spot?

Well its hardly a debate. Are you some kind of moron? These are big companies who hire experts in the field of finance forecasting, they have millions invested in events like these and would do all the calculation necessary to see if its profitable. There is a reason a fight is rarely held outside of the US, in fact, name me 1 fight in mma or boxing that has done over 475k? If anything, thats quite an achievement for Pac, he may have just set a record.

You guys are forum idiots not statisticians. Manny is not an international star any more than Floyd is. More people around the world watch Floyd than Manny.

Manny's number are plummeting because of crap opponents like Rios. Bradley II outcome was known based on how bad the first fight was. They were both crap fights. And given that, Pac's PPV numbers are pretty good, not Mayweather good, but good enough.

BTW, Bob knows more about promoting than clueless forum fans. Bob said the undercard doesn't matter. Floyd just looks out for his fans more than Manny does. Manny just talks BS when he says he fights for the fans. He could care less as evident by his indifference about the undercard.
