Can someone non-bias explain to me what is going on with the gloves?

Aren't the gloves approved by the commission? Is maidana the only one to ever use those MX everlast gloves? Has he used them before?

    :huh

It appears that Maidana is trying to pull a Margarito move.

Floyd always pulls maneuvers to screw with the opposing camp, keep them off balance. Thats all it is. Just Floyd trying to somehow get under Maidanas skin, and into his head. Nothing to see here really.

The gloves that Maidana wanted to use had no padding and were custom made. The commission came in a ruled that gloves were defected and not acceptable.

    "No padding"

The gloves in the video clearly had padding.

    No they didn't

    As of 5 minutes ago:
"The NAC OFFICIALLY approved the stock red Everlast MX gloves. The custom version is at issue."
Nothing was ruled on the custom version yet

Maidana can wear the approved stock red Everlast MX gloves, but sucks that it won't match his trunks

Nope. I watched Floyd try them on on youtube. They clearly had padding. He just doesn't think it was enough padding.

If you ever had a glove on your fist. Then you should know that you shouldnt be able to feel your knuckle through it. everyone knows that. especially with everlast

    LOL

Padding is a big deal, but no way all of the factory sealed gloves were "defective". Floyd just being Floyd.

His worshippers now trying to act like Maidana somehow got Everlast to custom gussy up the most scrutinized sets of gloves in boxing for him.

Basically it's irrelevant. It's more about how the padding is distrusted in the glove for comfort, neither one give an advantage in ability to knock someone out. (Not that it matters cause Maidana won't find Mayweathers chin).

yes it does. If there's less padding around the knuckle, then you can make a harder impact. That's why they call Cleto Reyes the "Puncher's Glove"

People do like to overhype the differences made by gloves to suit their own agenda. If anything they make minor differences, you can't knock someone out with one punch in a pair of Winnings, you're not going to do it in a pair of Reyes.

Winnings will more often than not protect your hands a bit better if you've broken them before, but the pulling of power from your own punches will protect your hands better than trying a different sort of glove out. If you'd done any boxing before you'd know that
