Would any of you put your lives on the line or at a disadvantage cos a group of fans says you are scared. If I am being honest, those customised gloves look like something from the dollar store.

How can an individual customise everlast? He ought to get the gloves from the company directly.

I have a pair of Title sparring gloves that I have had for 9 years. I have punched heavy bags, fences, poles, brick walls, garage doors, car doors and people. And they don't look anywhere near as flimsy and worn like those "custom" made gloves Maidana had. JS.

i got to agree. i got some everlast training gloves. those gloves look the material they used to use for baseball gloves in the 30's

 

Floyd probably wears extra padded gloves due to his hand issues. It's hardly fair to make a puncher wear extra padded gloves, if the contract stated Maidana could wear his own commission-approved gloves. If they can find some brand new, sealed Everlast MX gloves, and the commission approves them, Maidana should be allowed to wear the Everlast MX gloves. Honestly, those factory-sealed red ones looked perfectly fine, but the blue ones were suspect. If TMT really wanted to be sure they were factory specs, they could find a pair around town, maybe.
