I'd still favor Floyd to win that fight.

I can see why Floyd never went out of his way to fight the king-size swarmers and brawlers at 147 like Williams and Margo, though. The duck word gets thrown around way too much, but it's a longevity thing and a legit factor in matchmaking. Floyd can still beat that style (and I'd have still favored him to beat the bigger brawlers), but fights like that (and tonight) take much more out of him than the pure boxing matches do.

Exactly... That's all maidana did tonight... PAC isn't strong enough to pull that off
As a matter of fact PAC and maidana fights nothing alike

to beat Floyd you just have to overwhelm him with flurry of punches non stop.

But he does not have to. Pac can throw his combinations in the middle of the ring and keep you on the defensive if you let him because of his footwork and foot speed.

Mayweather has a defensive mentality unlike marquez who will throw with you.

U can tell when folks don't know **** about boxing. Ever heard of styles makes fights? Maidana fights nothing like Pac. So in this case, because Marquez knocked out Pac, Mayweather will too is what ur saying? Mayweather is a better counter puncher that Marquez

Ali tired of this guy calling himself TBE without first proving it. Ali fought guys like Liston, Frazier and Foreman - all guys are seriously bad for your health to be called "The greatest".

that's what I'm saying though. Maidana's success came when he pinned Floyd along the ropes. He wasn't having very much success in the middle of the ring. At that point, Floyd doesn't have the room to move away from range. In the middle of the ring, he's got several feet to move out of Pac's punching range.

Pac threw 7 punch combinations in the middle of the ring and had rios in a shell all night.

Exactly, and Manny won't change the way he fights. I see him throwing about 250 punches less and landing slightly less than Maidana, but not landing as much on Floyd because of him not taking Floyd to the ropes. Maidana was, 30 Pac would be closer to 36 if Floyd were to fight him next.

    Agreed.

If anything, people who are pegging him against the old badass welterweights like Basilio may want to rethink their positions.

Floyd and Maidana both fought like amateurs, to be perfectly honest.
