Khan fought well

 

First time Khan has looked better since leaving Roach. I like how Hunter told him off in the corner when he wasn't following to the gameplan.

Khan with his speed and combinations would give Mayweather problems. I hope that is May's next fight.

Khan shouldnt fight on TV let alone PPV. Unless he joins UFC, I hear they like that kind of style over there.

 

Then maybe Wlad should go UFC with him. The guy who everyone thought would KO Khan in 4 rounds could land nothing of note all night. Tough **** if you ask me.

 

Khan boxed beautiful, Very entertaining to watch as always. Can see the influence of Virgil on his style now and it's looking good. Guys only 27 too he has a lot more to give. Seems like he accepted his chin is weak as well before he still seemed intent on proving it wasn't. He's making all the right moves and seems to have humbled. Looking forward to the next one whoever it is.

 

Collazo should have forced the issue, like another strong action fighter on the card.

Easier said than done. He's trying to walk down a younger fighter with a significant reach advantage, Whose constantly moving and peppering him with lightning fast jabs and combos. Khan just made him look bad in there, Eventually Collazo just became desperate and started trying all kinds of crazy **** to bait him cause he realised walking him down and forcing the issue was nearly impossible.

 

I must admit, I thought Lazo would punch his ticket but Khan fought a smart fight and I got to give him his props.

 

I'm a huge critic of Khan. I've always said he fights stupidly and can't counter and has very over rated boxing skills and can't fight going backwards.

But I have to say that was a different Khan we saw last night. His foot work was much better, he places he feet now and doesn't throw himself off balance when throwing flashy, fast, pitty pat combo's.

Khan now knows when to clinch if he leaves himself out of position after throwing. He shows some rough inside skills as well, clearly the influence of Hunter.

Scariest thing of all Khan has finally learned how to counter punch, which now makes him a threat going backwards as well as forwards.

Overall this was a far better Khan than I have seen before. I wanted to come on this forum today to pick apart Khan's flaws again but I can't he fought a great fight.

 

I like Khan, but he fought tonight like he was scared of his opponent.
