Thomas Hearns and Julian Jackson are both among the hardest hitters P4P, but who hit harder?

Jackson seemed to save it all up for that perfect punch and situation and he landed. Hearns broke guys up with the jab and softened them up for the right. Hard to say. Maybe one punch Jackson, but Hearns was just as effective. Come to think of it, if you look at Hagler. Maybe people don't think of him as a knockout puncher, but when he fought for the title or near that time I think he had 50 knockouts in 52 fights. No bad.

It's a good question because both had monster KO's ...Hearn's crushing of a Duran, Shuler, Roldan, even bouncing around light heavyweight brute Dennis Anders was serious stuff for a guy that moved up from 147.

The Roldan 1 was very impressive considering Roldan's gameplan was to rough him up.....1 punch I still think it was Jackson tho....

It's hard for me to ever pick against Jackson in contests like this. Something about his opponent's reactions to his punches just puts him over the top for me, even with other extremely dangerous punchers like Hearns in the debate.

but Hearns knockout of Duran was not a one punch knockout. He hit and hurt Duran over and over with his speed and the last punch came when Duran was staggering back to the ropes.

WHAT!?!?!?! That was THE DEFINITION of a one punch KO.

That right hand was fast as **** in SLOW MOTION! Duran got hit with a f*cking missile that night, man.

That's like asking would you rather be shot by a AK-47 or a .50 cal.

In terms of pure one-shot power, it's arguably even. Meaning that Hearns right hand was just as powerful as any one shot from Jackson. But JJ has the edge because he could knock you dead with EITHER hand.
