A Message To Guys Who Say Maidana Won

My grandfather was a professional fighter, and I have many family members that were successful amateur boxers.

They believe Maidana edged it or that it was at least close. Paulie, a professional fighter, gave it to Mayweather by one point.

*****s think htting your opponent with pot shots twice or 3 times in the last minute of the round wins you the round even if the opponent was controlling you for the majority of the rounds. Paulie Malinaggi said it best. You have to give the round to the guy doing the most damage for the majority of the rounds despite of getting hit 2-3 times clearly in the last minute of the round!

 

How come people who feel Floyd won dont post their round by round scorecards?
I think a draw was fair

Round 6 I felt was a very close round that I wouldnt argue either way. Round 5 surprised me how Maidana was doing well with jabs. Round 11 was a very close round that I feel could be argued either way but went with Maidana. Round 12 was very close and I feel could have been seen either way

The judge who scored a draw scored the same as I did except for rounds 11 and 12 which he saw as 11 Mayweather, 12 Maidana

1) like you, I too have stepped in the ring. But now it makes sense why you didn't appreciate the work Maidana "clearly did in the ring in half of those rounds, since Most Europeans don't fight with that style.

2) Reading comprehension is obviously not one of your strong points. I never said it was a robbery, in fact I said, "Floyd by 1 round, a draw, or Maidana by 1 round ARE NOT UNREASONABLE". But I don't blame you; you probably took to many hits in the head while you boxed.

3) Using the dubass logic in your original post "Respect the decision of the judges", If Mayweather won clearly, then how come a judge scored it a draw? So how can you then say Mayweather won clearly, period?

I gave rds 1-5 swept by maidana. rd 8 was close, gave the round to maidana but after replay I gave it to Floyd (foul!). based on my first count, maidana won by a point, but after replay, it was a draw.

 

I agree, it was a close fight and mayweather won clearly. 7-5 but props to chino man what a warrior.

I felt bad for floyd at the post fight interview, usually he relishes the villian role but that night he was almost in tears.
