Avoiding Pac from 2008-2011. That version of Floyd from 08-11 was virtually unbeatable from 140-154. Floyd of last night will be beaten by Pac. Floyd should just avoid the Asian midget as much as possible. He looked horrible last night. He said he could've made it a boring and a one-sided fight and that Maidana wouldn't have won any rounds but he wanted to give fans an exciting fight. Who DaFuq is he kidding? His legs are shot thats why he stayed in the pocket. Pac 8-4 against last night's version of Floyd. :deal

Fight will not happen because Floyd doesn't want the fight against Pac. Stop with these threads.

With one using gloves with no padding and the other using cement fortified hand-wraps they might as well be bare knuckle fighting!

Ariza's shady shakes would have Maidana on top form against the other one-eyed cheater.

    Think!

    It ain't illegal yet.

If Mayweather isn't that good, then of course his past competition such as Canelo/Correllas/JMM, weren't that good either.

Mayweather is in an entertaining competitive fight. He is now **** and all of ihs other fights were just smoke and mirrors. In fact, **** any boxer who has ever lost or had a close fight. Deontay Wilder TBE.

He was wearing Everlast PowerLok gloves....

That must've been the compromise. Maidana was 'allowed' to wear Everlast, but not the MX (horsehair padded punchers glove). To Joe Public they will have seen Maidana in Everlast and assumed it was settled.

The Powerlok are WAY different to the MX. The MX are old skool styled horsehair gloves, and the PowerLok are modern foam padded gloves. TMT rejected the Cleto Reyes as a back up for Maidana too, which are also horse hair punchers gloves. I think that TMT banned any kind of horse hair gloves from entering the ring with him. Wonder if this is gonna be his new law? (not trolling, just interesting that the Reyes were rejected too after Eleerbe's comments...)

Floyd can become the greatest of all time. In fact if he retires undefeated everyone will have to admit he is.

I think he's definitely in most people's top ten but he's going to have a difficult time surpassing guys like Sugar Ray Robinson unless he retires undefeated. You can't say anything against a guy with a perfect record.

SRR did not have an undefeated record. Floyd is going on 50 fights and if he gets to 50-0 then he's without a doubt the greatest. Depending on who he fights he could even lose a fight or two and still achieve that status if he avenges his losses.

So basically he has to keep winning and have defeated every fighter he has ever faced to be in the discussion. If he's undefeated he will have a strong case that he was better than even SRR.

Make all the excuses you want. His record is perfect and he cleaned out the division except for Pacquiao who has been losing lately.

Let me explain this in simple economic terms.

Floyd v Maidana will do the same PPV as Guerrero, 800K to 1.1M based on who you ask.
Floyd v Pac would do at best 2.5X that.

    Now let's do the numbers:

Maidana gets $1.5M plus Argentina PPV royalties.

Pac will ask for $50M plus equal PPV royalties. The "mega" fight will take in 2.5X of last night's fight yet Arum will ask for 20X more compensation. SHO and Mayweather net more with Mayweather-Maidana II or Mayweather-Khan. Mayweather obviously makes more by not fighting Pac because the pot from which Floyd's incentives are calculated are higher when the opponent accepts lower pay. Simple math.

Floyd has options, Manny doesn't. If Floyd didn't have options, the Pac fight is more likely to happen. Last night's fight warrants a rematch from what I'm seeing in the forums and tweets. Maidana may get $3M this time, with a bigger pot for Floyd.
