He won't fight him now for sure. Floyd looked slow and very susceptible to any punches. I would have never said this before, but I don't think he could handle mannys offence it would overwhelm him.

Against Cotto and now Maidana, Mayweather claims he could have made the fight easy but chose not to. Does anyone believe this? This seems to discredit both Cotto and Maidana in their success. Like the way they fought had nothing to do with Floyd being on the ropes.

Basically they've both got old so it's still a. Toss up with Floyd getting a slight edge

    Just like 2009

All he has to do is keep winning. He's approaching 50-0 right now. If he gets to 50-0 I think he will be able to make a very strong case that he is greater than SRR.

When you consider factors like how old he is while he's undefeated, the quality and age of the opposition, the way he's beating guys, the statistics and percentages, you could make a case now that he's in the top 10.

How many more guys does he have to beat to surpass SRR? I think if he keeps winning and keeps taking tough fights he could surpass SRR. If he takes on guys like Amir Khan then he will have to get to 50-0. If he takes on tough fights such as fighting Cotto again or Thurman then he just has to have beaten every fighter he has ever faced. He can lose a fight, if he wins the rematch it doesn't take away from his legacy.

It's hard to argue with a 50-0 record if he can achieve it even if he fights a couple of guys along the way that we might think of as easy fights. SRR had fought some easy fights too.

The fact that Floyd's name is being raised in the discussion of being the best ever is an accomplishment in itself. He belongs in the discussion now with this win and I'm hearing people who aren't hardcore boxing fans saying he's the greatest ever.

If he retires undefeated, beats everyone put in front of him, I think he is 4 fights away from 50-0 and that is all it would take to convince me he's the best boxer to ever live. He would be almost 40 years old by then and if he's still undefeated it's an amazing feat in itself. 50-0 is also a magic number in boxing history for people who study the sport because it's almost impossible to go 50-0. The only sort of fighters who have gone 50-0 are the SRR type fighters.

If this is the case, Maidana shoulda called his bluff and, if Mayweather didn't back down, sued the shite out of him.

Easy for me to say. Not losing a payday.

Floyd can't be the best simply because he hasn't fought everyone. He didn't fight Pacquiao, Margarito, Tszyu, or prime Cotto.

    I do think he's a top 30 ATG, though.
