ya i know, i've read it too. Was it really a whitewash? I've never seen the fight.
or is this just the **** to say this week as a way to discredit Floyd cuz he showed some vulnerability?

Cotto was prime and still is. Cotto wasn't looking old before they fought and he was coming off some of his best victories of his career.

Canelo was prime and coming off the best victories of his career.

Also Mayweather is older than both of them so what is this bull**** about him fighting guys not in their prime? Stop making excuses and accept that Mayweather is a top 10 ATG.

Don't let that fight fool you. He still shuts out Pacquiao. Remember, he still won this fight, sometimes you win pretty and dominate, sometimes you just win. And regardless of what some of you *******s think, this didn't give light to how Pacquiao could have beat him. Pacquiao doesn't possess the attributes, that allowed Maidana to give him trouble. Size and strength. Pacquiao dies not a also fight in that style. As in that fight and any other fight Floyd owns the middle of the ring, putting his back to the ropes and being mauled is the only thing that can give some one this type of chance. Pacquiao can't, and won't fight in this manner, Pacquiao only chance is to fight in the middle of ring, which one again. Floyd owns.

Yeah, was pretty much a shutout, very boring fight. Devon Alexander must have clinched like a 100 times in the fight, he'd hit a couple of times from range, clinch and repeat.

Because Floyd wanted to spark interest in a fight against the guy who got knocked out by a 40 year old **** drinker.

It was an ugly fight filled with holding, I wouldn't say it was a great performance. It was actually a terrible fight. Let's see DA try and box Maidana straight up and see what happens.

If you fight a lot of fights and beat a lot of great fighters it makes you great.

No one can say that Mayweather hasn't beaten more great fighters than anyone else in boxing in the past 30-40 years. You can make a case that guys from the SRR era beat more great fighters but they lost more fights too. SRR lost 19 fights http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=9625&cat=boxer

Now if you look closer you'll see he won 91 fights in a row. This matters a lot for history. "From 1943 to 1951 Robinson went on a 91 fight unbeaten streak, the third longest in professional boxing history."

Chavez going 80+ fights in a row is historic and he is an ATG as well no doubt even if he didn't beat the guys you wanted him to beat. Floyd is on the verge of 50 fights in a row and he's beaten everyone but Pacquiao and Martinez.

You could say he didn't fight Paul Williams but that wasn't his fault. You could say he didn't fight Margarito but if he could do this to Maidana he would have knocked out Margarito anyway. If Floyd wins 50 fights in a row he's as great as SRR with his 90 fight win streak because it's a lot tougher to win 50 fights in a row in our era than it was to win 90 in that era.

Taking nothing away from SRR, Floyd hasn't been fighting the same guys multiple times in a row to inflate his victories. You could say Floyd ducked or avoided certain fighters (Pacquiao, Martinez), but most of the guys we claimed he was ducking he eventually went on to fight and beat. We said he was ducking Cotto and then he fought and beat Cotto. We said he was ducking Mosley and he went and beat Mosley. We said he was ducking Canelo and he goes and beats Canelo.

    Is there anyone left? Seriously?
