If you go by numbers Floyd is definitely a top ten ATG.
Can you name 10 guys who have better numbers than Floyd?

Win streak? Compubox? Championship rounds won? Total number of championships won? Total number of champions defeated?

Floyd is closing in on SRR. I think if he goes on to beat Khan, how many champions does he have to beat? Does he have to beat Hopkins?

There are MANY Boxers who you could say are the No.1 before you think of Floyd.

If Floyd is doing this much ducking in this era, can you imagine how much he would have done in the 70's and 80's if he was around then? Shiiiiit!

Manny, Ward, Rigo are ahead of him in this era.

It's interesting that one would say Maidana "exposed" Floyd this fight, when its clear that Floyd has fought significantly more dangerous opponents as recently as last year. Two guys who would have obliterated Maidana(Canelo and Guerrero).... Clearly, this performance was more on Floyd than it was on Maidana. Floyd did not fight like himself and didn't seem to even put forth that effort.

Everyone who is suggesting that this or that guy did/would do this or that to Maidana so therefore they'd kill Floyd might want to ask themselves what Canelo, Guerrero, Cotto, and Mosley might do to Maidana if they fought.

Devon Alexander shut this guy out, Amir Khan schooled him, and he went life and death with....SOTO KARASS.

Floyd is a B-level fighter..been saying it for years.

Agreed. Do people really think Mayweather would square off with Tommy Hearns ?! Duran?! Sugar Ray?! Beat downs would await him. Tommy Hearns would hurt him worse than anyone.

He would suffer the same fate that his crackhead daddy did against Sugar Ray. It would take longer, but he would eventually get clipped or decisioned

zombie 152 canelo? 35yr old mosley? fat/shot cotto? They would all lose to this C-level fighter because they were BELOW C-level in the form they faced Floyd in.

lol no doubt but to be 100% honest I've never seen the entire fight, I've only caught the highlights and even that was boring lol. I actually don't mind DA, but I think MM gets seriously underrated because of that loss now and I don't think that fight was a good way to guage what kind of fighter he is today. I mean when the highlights are of clinches than that's all you really need to know. Mostly newbies and haters bring it up to discredit Mayweather like you were saying.

Floyd sounded quite weak, and was even stuttering when pressed on this issue. A guy in the media asked him why wasn't the glove situation a stipulation at contract signing and not the day of the fight. Like, even if Mayweather wanted more cushioned gloves, as far as the safety of the fights, as much as that can be seen as bitching or anti-warrior like, I don't think it would have been that big of a deal. What is a big deal is how the Mayweather side forced Chino to use other gloves at the last second. Imagine if Chino's side just said "no i'm using my usual gloves". At that point, what would happen? Would Floyd not fight?

What really strikes me as shady is how Mayweather's side can even have the final say in a situation like that. I think this type of thing fuels theories that Floyd's fights are scripted. I don't understand how Chino was forced to use a different pair of gloves then was originally agreed upon at the last moment like that.

Oscar de la Hoya just tweeted: "I watched several fights again and Floyd should be 43-3 have a great Sunday"

I know JLC 1 is the consistently questioned fight. Now it looks like Maidana is being added to that list.

There are a small amount that question DLH. (even though it was the one SD on his record, it is less questioned than Castillo 1 and Maidana)

Others have generated a small amount of controversy. I've heard a few outlier scores that had the Cotto fight a draw. I've even heard some question the second Castillo fight, and one guy that thought Floyd lost to Judah.

It is because of the weird angles, broken rhythm, and non textbook style that Maidana was so successful. Styles make fights. Awkwardness is more difficult for Floyd to handle than well-schooled guys like JMM and Canelo who are so straightforward and textbook. Floyd may be getting old but he is still invincible against a text book guy. The shoulder roll didn't work against Maidana just like it didn't really work against Judah and Emanuel Augustus so Floyd had to beat them down the old fashioned way. His ability to do that has deteriorated to some degree.

Wow what a *****! So if ever he had the balls to fight Pac, his new demand would be for Pac not to wear his Cleto Reyes.
