Mayweather looked really off tonight. He got into his groove late on though. His stamina was not there.

I think his lack of power hurts him.....he has to totally rely on his defensive skills and pop shoting....he just doesent have that spark....that can dig him out of hole....he's been very blessed to have fought in this week era....

Prime for prime Leonard wins. He's just got too much for Mayweather to deal with. The shoulder roll defence just ain't gonna cut it against a true ATG welterweight.

My problem with Mayweather is their's no question that Leonard, Hearns, SRR were way to much for him, and Duran, Benitez, and prime Curry would beat him to at WW, its the plethora of other very good Welters of the past that had a very chance is what bothers me......about him....

To be fair, Floyd is a smallish welterweight without a ton of offensive firepower at that class. Historically, he'll always be a better H2H fighter at the lighter weights.

if only u were as confident as u guys sound

listen, u bums dont know what u ar talking about. all u do is yell thru the same echo chamber but Ray got schooled by 2 people faster than hisself-Camacho N Norris and look how easy those turned out

Floyd is smaller yes but smaller leads to faster and history shows that Ray cant adjust to the speed and had major problems with faster men and is poor at hitting a moving target

lookit the problems he had putting Larry Bonds away and Larry isnt one tenth the fighter Floyd was or is EVEN NOW! how's he gonna do anything against King Floyd? the poor guy, I pity him

Ray probably jut gonna stare at him all night as Floyd boxes circles around him all nite

U dont have to have an 78 in wingspan & stand 6-1 to totally outbox Leonard. Norris & Camacho proved that!

Norris kept knocking him on his ass and Camcho knocked the guy stiff and King Floyd (I hope he buys the Clippers) is still unbeaten at age 38 (I know this fact pisses off ESB posters more than ever now cuz I am able to brag that much more)

King Floyd, like Norris N Camacho before him, are quick, slick and would make Ray Leonard sick :yep

Ray Leonard was only a runner

Rooster has made his mark here for the past ??? years claiming that Norris and Camacho beat a peak Leonard while Leonard got lucky against a totally shot Hagler. According to him, Duran was a washed up lightweight and leonard didn't deserve the wins. Benitez and Hearns weren't valid victories either.. The only thing I haven't heard him say was that Leonard wasn't even a licensed professional and that every single fight he ever had was a total fix but I'm sure one day his creative juices will come around..

dont try to discredit me u lout u dont have the skills!

If Ray werent the favorite in those fights, only then could u talk ****

Hagler's decline was well documented throughout the years but no such decline was ever noted in Leonard and how could it with th few bouts he had (30 + bouts)

the man was hardly ever even TOUCHED. That is, until Norris N Camacho got hold of him. Then he got touched in ways reserved for fighters in real bouts

Ray even took off portions of his career to avoid this type of fighter and even when he reactivated his career, passes over legit champions like Nunn, and heads straight for Duran, Lalonde, and what was left of Hearns

what am I supposed to think when Norris destroys him?

If I sa he couldnt handle a certain type of fighter and akes it a point to avoid them, then gets destroyed the first time facing one, then it must be concluded that he didnt have the stuff to do it and therefore I am justified in saying Ray leonard was only a runner

even in his youth it took 11 to dispatch a non entity with no offense. Is that supposse to inspire confidence?

well *****, what u have to say?

the only thing u object to is my viewpoint contrasts with your and that I have ample evidence while u have no and therefor no defense against it

Even if u use Ray's age as a factor, u still have to give it to Floyd cuz Floyd is several years older and still unbeaten with MORE fights so Floyd is better on all fronts including his career earnings. read it WEEP *****!

This guy is quite confident in Norris.....Hearns would **** him up prime McCallum would to....he was lucky that Leonard was past it....Norris was very very good dont get me wrong but not as good as the rooster dude thinks true he is a great match up historically H2H against most between 147-154 but he damn sure wasnt unbeatable...I still remember Jackson almost killing Norris literally.....lol

I am not sure. That Leonard was ok, but he hit Donny a lot on the breaks, and what beat Donny the most was making Lalonde fight at 168 when he was a 175 pound fighter. Hearns was so close to knocking out Leonard in the fight in 1989. One more clean punch landed and Hearns would have had a late round knockout. as it was Leonard had to go to the hospital after for dehydration.

You're right... Leonard was prime for those defeats. In fact, there was never a point in his entire career where he wasn't.. From his debut bout to the time he was sparked by Camacho, he was always at his very best. Hell he's probably still prime today.
