If you are outside fighter you need to learn how to outbox your opponets. Jab, Jab, Jab, Straight. When your opponet gets in close throw uppercuts. Counter punching is very important too, pick his shots, counter and go backwards. I recommend to master left hook too, its useful to throw jab and left hooks. Especially long range left hooks. And protect head with right hand (if you're orthodox)

    Watch Evander Holyfield fights.

All of the above plus look at spinning off from hooks, watch Mayweather v Hatton.

not a good idea in my honest opinion. a few fighters might tire no doubt but its always more tiresome to be on the backfoot in my opinion. in a 3 round amateur fight alot of guys can keep up the constant pressure and come time for them to finally slow down its very likely you would have also been worn down from the constant pressure and most likely behind on points.

you must learn to fight him off you. this is not 12 rounds you cant weather the storm, amateurs are kinda **** like that. you get taught all this technique and styles and then amateurs is 90% fitness and activity

straight shots, especially if you are taller. try getting into a rhythm of punching and pivoting out the way. whatever you do don't go back in a straight line. if you need to step back to create space, take one step back but don't let him bully you.

a lot of pressure fights don't like being put on the defensive as they are used to fighting going forward. so try pushing him back with a few jabs then a right hand. if he folds then try doing that, and as soon as he strikes back, pivot and regain control of the centre of the ring!!

if he's a freight train don't stay on the railroad tracks.

Decent body shots will take away some of his aggression.

    React and clinch.

Watch how young Odlanier Solis fought (amateurs) and how he keeps his opponet away. Try to study and copy his style.

Use dirty tactics when you clinch ,Ric Flair him.Thumb his eyes and learn the art of head butt clinch.

Also when you knuckle up, try to get a cheap shot in.If he gets agitated and tries to maul you, just shoot for a double leg.Throat punching also is effective.

imagine railroad tracks under your opponents feet. Don't stay on them. Make him constantly re-adjust his stance to be able to hit you. It will slow him down a little.
