Being undefeated is overrated if your resume is not that great. I would have more respect for Mayweather's resume if he took on Winky, Margo, undefeated Cotto back in 2008, Pac in 2009/2010, Martinez back in 2011 even if he got 1 or 2 defeats from that set of opponents..

Floyd given the nod in close fights is acceptable to me. 100% record is intact.

    Well said.

And yes, a defeat would allow us to peel off that veneer of there being "no blueprint". From there we could weigh Floyd's legacy fairly, minus the hyperbole and the hate.

It looked indeed as if he underestimated Chino in the early rounds. Good fight of both, Chino did a great job.

I hope that Chino will give him a rematch. Floyd deserves a rematch after all those years.

He is not 46-0. That's for sure. He is great fighter though. It is time for him to retire and enjoy life.

Some of the 46 fighters, listed below with their deserved result against Floyd, have not suffered defeat against him...

1998- Angel Manfredy NC 2; fight stopped too early by ref

    2002- Jose Luis Castillo I W UD12; 119-107 Castillo

    2002- Jose Luis Castillo II W UD12; 117-111 Castillo

2005- Arturo Gatti W DQ1; Floyd should have been DQ'd with round 1 knockdown

2006- Zab Judah W DQ10; Floyd should have been DQ'd when low blowed and trainer enters ring

    2007- Oscar de la Hoya W UD12; 116-112 Oscar's jab

2007- Ricky Hatton W DQ6; Floyd should have been DQ'd for fighting an inside fighter on the inside

2009- Juan Manuel Marquez NC 12; shouldn't count because Marquez hadn't fought at WW yet (?)

2010- Shane Mosley W TKO2; ref should have stopped the fight

2011- Victor Ortiz W DQ4; Floyd should have been DQ'd for punching during a prize fight

2014- Marcos Maidana W UD12; 115-113 Maidana's tackle late clinched it on the cards

Floyd Mayweather's record to me is 35-9 with 2 NC's.
    -4 defeats, all by UD
    -4 defeats by DQ
-Shane Mosley first man to stop him!

The best elbow is always there to help when things heat up a little bit. Weeks was there to oblige when Floyd got into trouble. So they had all corners covered for Floyd.

I am the first person to say Floyd is ducking Pacman and tough challenges, but to call him a sissy? That is overdoing it. The man has guts to get in the ring.
