LOL. That bum Trump spent his money on Mayweather fights, and next fight he'll spend it again.
Trump bankrupted his company at least 3 times in the last 20 years but always gets bailed out.

What if that "0" is a more a product, as is in many cases, of challenges not taken as opposed to great performances. Most pro fighters can win X amount of fights versus overmatched, or well selected competition.

Let's face it. Most of the top fighters are 20-0 to start out. They beat who they have to, learn what they have to and try and take that success to the next levels. It' s only when they start mixing it up with other world level competition that the wheat gets separated from the chaff.

Had Cotto had stayed at ww, not fought Margarito, Pacquiao and then moved up to fight Trout, and then up to MW to fight Martinez, and retired undefeated, is he a better fighter than the guy who took on challenge after challenge?

If guys retire at a certain # of wins simply not to have a loss on their record, with fewer challenges than other guys, do they deserve greater praise?

I can take losses on a fighter's record if he consistently mixes it up with real challenges.

Being unbeaten by itself isn't anything to write home about when you start to add things like.
    5- division Champ
Tied for most Lineal Titles all time
#1 rated fighter beaten in 4/5 divisions twice
Clear cut #1 in 4/5 divisions
Most champions beaten in boxing history
Lineal WW/JMW Champ at the same time

It becomes more of a big deal

Yea look who he's fought, all the names I mentioned lost to some average fighters at some point in their career, Floyd is well past prime and fought a dude who was trained to fight dirty...

From holding and hitting, rabbit punching, kneeing, low blows, wrestling, bending arms and rushing in swing windmill punches like a school girl , Maidana did it all and I can only remember 5-6 clean head punches landed, he still lost after all the fouling...

Everyone wants to put all the past fighters on an unobtainable pedestal but I don't because at some point they all had close decision wins and losses no matter who it was to...whatever reasons someone can come up with to discredit Mayweather I can do the same with these has beens of the "golden Era"...

I never said Mayweather wasn't great. I said he needs to stop using his undefeated record as a reason for him being TBE. Many fighters went undefeated fighting stiffer competition. The only thing Mayweather should use in defense of his claim as TBE is the quality of his resume. And is it stands, it's not a resume worthy of being called TBE.

I think people are forgetting that Floyd hasn't dominated every single fight he's been in.

He adjusted to a very past prime version of Mosley from 2010, not year 2000.
Marquez was very small for the weightclass and put on the weight in a very bad way and was at a major stylistic disadvantage against Mayweather who is still a great fighter.

Canelo - everyone knew he was going to get beat, it was the most one sided where forum polls are concerned, even more so than Maidana-Mayweather in the prediction threads.

Guerrero was a featherweight who looked a bit fat at 147lbs and Mayweather did have a tough time at the start with him, Guerrero is nothing special to begin with..he'd never upset Mosley let alone Mayweather.

Hatton was actually very competitive with Floyd up until Hatton just said goodbye to his gameplan and ended up getting KTFO as a result.

Baldomir put Mayweather through ****. Judah put Mayweather through ****.
    Mayweather lost to Castillo.

Mayweather was never this supremely dominant guy in fights.

He was only dominant against guys who were at a severe stylistic disadvantage, and Corrales. Everyone is jerking off over the Corrales fight in their minds.

Oh, and Mayweather had a close fight with Oscar who was very past prime and had gassed out by the 8th, and that is where Mayweather won the last 4 rounds.

People have brought into this idea of an invincible Mayweather who dominates his opposition. :patsch

before maidana slowed down around the 5th round mayweather had very little answers to his slow pressure, really what would this guy do to of handled the old pacquaio of 09

just for the record I believe floyd won the fight around 7-5, 8-4 couple of rounds could of went either way from what people where looking for e.g aggression or not

I'm not one of those fans who think Mayweather is "TBE" I feel he needs a MW Title while remaining unbeaten to really have a great claim towards it. As it stands lets compare some of the fighters you listed
Chavez was like 87-0 at one point but only beat about 3 name guys during that run
Calzage retired unbeaten and only has about 3/4 notable names on his resume
Trinidad was 42-0 at one point and the only prime great he fought was Hoya which he really lost.

You really can't compare that to being 46-0 with almost half your fights as championship fights with the most Champions beaten in history and 10 straight regining champs fought,

Everyone fights older guys, younger guys, great guys, average guys the only one who does not get credit for it is Mayweather. I just made a thread asking this same question I will now pose to you. Whats the difference between Provodnikov and Maidana that a close fight vs Bradley gets him rated higher than a close fight vs Mayweather

Yeah Bradley> Alexander but isn't Mayweather> Bradley> Alexander, Kahn> Herrera yet Provodnikov > Maidana somehow

As Pacquiao wouldn't have outweighed Mayweather on fight night by 15 or so pounds like Maidana I would say no.

umm paq has zero of the abilities chino has that made the fight so tough.

since when is paq a big huge crazy pressure fighter ? ahh he is the opposite of what chino is. paq is also weaker with less of a punch than chino
