The only reason he continues to call the shots and has Las Vegas,Showtime and the Nevada commission sway the balance on his behalf is the state of the economy in Vegas and corporate America.
He would be thrown out with the bath water when his value drops.
On second thought-he needs a good cleansing in class. Both he and his paid entourage and phony friends.

Floyd is a REALLY tough guy to beat. Maidana put his EVERYTHING into that and still lost. He suffered his first ever cut, and still won. He layed on the ropes for lengthy spurts allowing Maidana to tee off on his body, Maidana snuck in a few good head shots too. And he still won. Maidana threw a lot of rabbit punches, hit low, bent his arm, and tried to throw him out of the ring. With that said Floyd was clinching too, and used that forearm a few times. The ref just gave a casual warning or two. But, let things play out. And he still won.

The man is 37 and these young fighters are in the fight of their lives when they are in against him. I've never said he was TBE. But, he is clearly one of the TBE.

That highest pay day is BS.

Simple math. Maidana got $1.5 million. Let's say Maidana does the same as Guerrero in PPV. A mega fight between Manny and FLoyd does 2.5X in revenue with 2M+ buys. Arum will ask for 50M + equal PPV royalties. That's 30X compensation for a fight generating 2.5X the revenue. That doesn't even factor in HBO who will want to co promote.

SHO nets a lot more with a Maidana, Canelo or Cotto rematch. Manny is not getting a big pay day from Floyd. He let that opportunity slip. The only way it becomes Floyd's highest pay day is if Manny accepts 10M like Canelo did and does better than the Canelo PPV, which based on Pac's waning popularity is unlikely.

Maidana and Pacquiao fight *nothing* alike.

Floyd fought Maidana's fight for the first half of the contest and STILL won the fight. Pacquiao would win all of two rounds - TOPS...

Mayweather sells fights even after shutouts no? You really think Floyd needs to fight to a razor close decision and possibly get robbed to sell a future fight?

Maidana didn't even land a beautiful textbook clean overhand right which is one of Maidana's signatures, so Maidana didn't land that shot.

Also, Mayweather is lucky Maidana is a B grader who gasses out in his fights.

If it was Chavez Sr let alone Duran, it would be brutal.

How accurate are the fight night weight stats that they give. I didn't think that maidana looked 20lbs heavier then Floyd in the ring.
