Who is the biggest person Rocky Marciano fought?

In terms of weight

I was looking at a thread about him vs Tyson and I was just curious

 

Jerry Jackson I guess, though he was obviously nothing special.

 

I'd assume old Louis, but I'm not sure. There is probably a few bigger, but they would be lower level fighters.

 

He beat guys much bigger than old Louis, but as you say, they were journeymen or fringe contendrs at best.

 

They were New England circuit ham and eggers.

That said, he didn't exactly avoid some giant contender...

 

Johnny Schkor was 6'4" 220 lbs and maybe the best "SHW" sized fighter he beat. A tougher than average journeyman that mixed it up with many of the best names of the era. He picked up some good upset wins over Mauriellom, Johnny Flynn, Rusty Payne, also gave Buddy Walker and the Rock himself a hard fight.

 

As you say, Shkor is the nearest thing to a world class SHW on his resume. He dosn't seem to have struggled stylisticaly with the bigger guys he did fight, though Shkor gave him a cut that troubled him later in his career. It is a shame in many ways that he never fought Bob Baker. It would have answered a few stylistic questions for us.

Keep fantasizing about him beating up on old washed up fighters. And still sum of those old washed up fighters still dropped his overrated ass. Including an over he hill Archie Moore at 188 lbs

No. He evaluates the quality of a good trolling spot based on the responses he gets. So far the getting seems to be good.
