I got the impression as well that Paulie had it a draw or a marginal Maidana victory.

This seemed to be backed up when he giving out about the 117-11 and 116-112 score cards asking how the judges could get it so wrong when sitting ringside.

He rematched Castillo. He had a tough fight with Cotto. He'll probably rematch Maidana. The Pacquiao stuff has been done to death. I don't see how you could put all the blame on Mayweather. But, if that's your opinion then so be it.

Oscar didn't avoid anyone during his prime. And he got revenge on Mosley decisively outboxing him in their 2nd meeting but was robbed just like the Tito fight.
Only man to EVER beat a prime Oscar was mosley in their first fight. Speaks volumes of both how good Mosley was and how good Oscar was in that time of amazing, truly great fighters.

except pedjr hardly counters a southpaw.

when attacked he goes into a defensive shell, looks for the ropes and asks the ref to bail him out.

it is hard to land a straight right without the jab to set it up. pedjr wont have the jab, esp, jab to the body available to him when he is fighting a southpaw.

if he lands the straight right hand that often, he will be that more vulnerable for a straight left.

    pac's straight left vs. pedjr's straight right, i d take pac's anyday.

pac's offense vs. pedjr's offense, id take pac all day and twice on sundays.

pac will outwork pedjr easily just based on workrate and being a southpaw alone.

we are not even talking about pac hurting him. one flush straight left to his chin and pedjr will be on survival mode the rest of the fight.

pac has shown, even at this stage, he can still take a hard straight right to his chin, like the one he took from bradley.

no featherfisted is gonna beat pac, never.

edit: take a piece of advice. start watching pedjr vs. southpaws so you will understand why pac's is stylistically nightmare for pedjr and not the other way around.

Agreed Floyd May have landed the better blows but his work rate was low and against Manny he would lose the lead based on the way he fights!

Oscar lost most of his big fights and barely beat the coked out of his head pernell. I cannot remember anyone being silly enough to compare him to the fab 5.

Money can't buy class. No matter how big Floyd's bank balance gets he will always be ridiculed for his atrocious choice in company, attire, women and words. Having fools like Bieber walk with him to the ring is just an extension of that.

I have always liked the Showtime announcers anyways ,they don't slight the fighters like they do on HBO and you won't get anyone of them say " bang ,bang "

I like the UK. Commentary as well .Not sure what your thoughts are on them are they bias ?

To answer your question, probably not because there was a handful of GREAT fighters to choose from for Oscar. There was Veron Forrest, winky, Cory spinks etc who Oscar could have fought. Oscar was the one who wanted Mosley, he saw Shane's impressive record and knew it would be a mega fight and fans would love it.
The problem with what transpired and why oscar lost was due to his criticism for running from trindad 2 fights before Mosley, so Oscar felt pressured to make it a war and ended up losing to a guy he could've just outboxed as he did in their second fight. But he went forward all night and was slightly out matched speed wise.

i'm one of the most knowledgeable dudes in this forum my attention to detail when it comes to assessing each fighters capability is second to none. You just cant handle people with different views that's ultimately the bottom line.

I consider my self a professor of boxing i have always challenged you to call me out in any of the things which i say which you deem to be wrong but no instead you just resort to personal insults which really exposes you in the end of the day.
